the_ferret
hi to one and all about 2months ago i bought some zoo magura pads from select bikes and they've bloody amazed me but......... on a ride yesterday one ripped clean in half out of the backing! all i need to know is can i get them replaced by zoo or someone because i'm kind of skint at the moment so cant even afford bloody brake pads! ( just a little note even though i'm using one and a half of a pad it still works so amazingly its stupid! but i don't trust it to come out of the backing now) thanks for any advice that can be given oggy
rich4130
Glue it back in, either with Superglue, or araldite. Sorted really.
AdamR28
I'd suggest getting in touch with Phil, see what he says. Sounds like an overspill of release agent, causing a split line in the pad itself.

JT!
Ha ha, they won't last very long on a grind anyway. Why can't you glue them back in?
the_ferret
i didn't have a grind or anything it was on a smooth rim! hehe i'm not a heavy rider and wasn't doing anything big either i cant glue them back because i lost half the pad somewhere but because the brake still worked nicely i didn't notice till later  i don't trust using just half a pad because theres alot of stress put on and its likely to rip out of the backing thanks again oggy
Tom Booth
Why can't you glue them back in? ← I think hes lost half of a pad, and half of it is still there, so he cant glue it in due to him not having it, I think thats what he means  about 2months ago i bought some zoo magura pads from select bikes and they've bloody amazed me but......... on a ride yesterday one ripped clean in half out of the backing! Dunno if im right, but its just how i overstood it Edited July 4, 2005 by Tom Booth
