JT!
Unsealed bearings are more easily serviced than sealed, all you do is pop off the endcap, undo the nuts and then take all the bearings out clean em, clean inside the pedal, re grease with a good grease and put it all back together. Piece of piss, you could even fix you ddgs for a couple of quid. ← What so are they X ones sealed or un sealed?
monkey_pork
£20.00 'll get you a set of Gusset Inca's. Big, grippy, and mine seem to have lasted pretty well (apart from the odd pin), plus they are cheap enough not to get sentimental over. ScotchDave
What so are they X ones sealed or un sealed? (Y) ← X ones are sealed, and won't need much care, onza shindigs will last as long if not longer if you look after em every few months. picki
Yes you can, they are crap IMO. The cage is way to low, therefor your foot is on the metal bit, not the cage. Therefor your foot slips off and it scrapes the shit out of your leg. (Y) ← and slipping a pedal and having pins embeded in your bone is pleasant? i have more scars from v12's than vp's if they aint grippy enough make some cages yourself? or file sharp bits into them. vp's all the way
Tom Booth
if they aint grippy enough make some cages yourself? or file sharp bits into them. ← I did this with mine wen i first got them as they wernt very grippy, just get a small full round file and make them small dagers on a cage! they work ace! and last well to (Y) (as long as you keep them tight and dont go to pedal at every oportunity) Edited July 5, 2005 by Tom Booth
JT!
and slipping a pedal and having pins embeded in your bone is pleasant? ← What, no it's not pleasent. (Y) I don't get you. :D if they aint grippy enough make some cages yourself? or file sharp bits into them. ← ...or buy some grippier pedals? The Asonic X's came this morning. Love them. :o
SQuiT-man
Hey JT, just out of interest whats the grip and weight like on the X's? Do they look like they are built to last?
Ali C
the corner of my x pedal snapped off after about 2 months, apart from being a little weak, they are pretty cool. I still use vp pedals, I spent a bit more and got some monty ones, the cages are tougher. I also remove the inner cage, this almost makes them have too much grip! Ross W.
I would like to try some VP's or some variation, cheap at least.
Luke Drewery
i run dmr v8's and they are as good as you need for pedals. They are light, strong, look good and are very grippy with replaceable pins. Another good thing, they are cheap too! I would go for the onza hognesiums if i had money to spare and would stay away from vp pedals as they fall to pieces with normal wear. :-
