Tony Harrison
Or sponsorship! ← Try-all rims don't fit in the old Ashtons. I bought a Tioga DH rim because even a DX32 required brake pad modification. Tioga is nice rim though. You'll have to grind a braking surface (like on the D321) but it's 5mins work. And a steal at 25 quid...
N.Wood
Replying to Todge i presume :) You cased a brick wall at 30MPH and you didn't get a puncture? (Y) EDIT: Snappel, yeh i was refering to the new Ashton... He seems to have a deal, with Try-All boosters on front and rear, plus the rims. Todge
Hello Everybody. I have built my d321 on the rear up and am using Magura pads on it and its working a treat  There is just enough sidewall to sit the pad on, the width is about 1mm under a Ronnie, and its much lighter (and stronger). I have decided not to run a grind because I personally like how the CD surface works for mmy bake as its very dependable, but a grind would be easy enough. I will get pics up as soon as my camera returns from being repaired for all to see. Todge ← In reply to this thread, my camera has returned oday and I have some pictures. This is what I had when I made that post. If you do decide to run a D321 on the rear, DO NOT DRILL IT. Instead of denting it, it pushes the materail out around the hole, creating a big flatspot and wobble in the sidewall (can sort of be seen in the second pic). Its lighter then a Ronnie without holes anyway. Then my Hope started to skip a lot, so I got a profile and built a whole new wheel with a undrilled D321. Much better :- Note to everyone, you can easily convert a Profile Mini BX hub (110mm spacing) to fit in a stock frame with two spacers. Its immense. I love my profile :">
