James_Porter
jimbo uses v*z rims now (Y) but he did use 321's and his brake was ace. pad wasnt all on the rim but that didnt seem to matter as his brake was very good everytime i went on it. ScotchDave
Probably wore to the shape of the rim.
Davetrials
dannys was ground weired and his pads slotted right on, id give it ago. I plan on doing it soon, cost mavic rims are beastos to grind.
dave33
the rim doesnt have a braking surface as its designed for a disc,i know danny smith done it but has any one on here got one on now? there is a lip of around 6-8 but with an angle grinder it would be easy to make a braking surface as iv done this on an old f219 disc rim and was great (Y) the rims are 680 grams which is lighter than a koxx isint it and thats before any drilling and im 100% that its stronger than any koxx rim,echo,onza........ i will be doing this soon when i get my rim altho i have one on the front of my santa cruz which im temped to go steal now, no better wait (Y)" edit typo :"> Edited July 3, 2005 by dave33

Get it in CD and then get some Heatsink Konigs. You will have the perfect brake. Gaz (Y)

They seem to be holding up pretty damn well for anybody whos using them in 24". FACTORY DH 24" & 26" Rim Double wall aluminum construction Stainless steel double eyelets Knurled wall to prevent tire slippage 35mm width Disc brake only; 32h or 36h 24" 545g; 26" 590g Black with white stripe Only 1mm narrower than 321, same weight as a 521 loads of room for a brake and only £25? Todge
Just looked at my front d321 and it seems there is enough room to run magura pads on it, just. So im gonna build one up shortly, on a profile.

Mr Motivator
Yeah can you put up a pic please. Hold a pad on the surface and take a pic side on, remember to se your macro mode. Sam
Todge
Hello Everybody. I have built my d321 on the rear up and am using Magura pads on it and its working a treat  There is just enough sidewall to sit the pad on, the width is about 1mm under a Ronnie, and its much lighter (and stronger). I have decided not to run a grind because I personally like how the CD surface works for mmy bake as its very dependable, but a grind would be easy enough. I will get pics up as soon as my camera returns from being repaired for all to see. Todge
RyanRs
i had a 321CD disk rim on back once... its like the D521 but .... STRONGER!!! this rim is immense! i clobbered the corner edge of a 2ft brick wall once at about 25 - 30 mph with the back wheel, (hand slipped when i bunnyhopped) .... the 321cd went BANG!!!! and all it did was slightly bend the lip edge (where the tyre sits) inward about 3/4 cm ... but the dish of the wheel ect was still perfect! didnt affect the trueness of the wheel what so ever... ..i was running a nokian galla 3.0 tyre on it with an intense DH tube though... but i used to run 15 psi .... funny thing was, i didnt even get a punchure!! i also set it up with a magura once, when i snapped me disk.... and belive it or not, it works pritty dam good!! but you only get half the pad to touch the rim, aS there isnt enough surface.. they are a bit weighty though..
