Nah, all dvd's should be standard mpeg-2 encoded. Although maybe it is the wrong region and your dvd player is locked to a certain region. I'm talking american dvd's here, although i doubt that is the case with a ricky gervais dvd eh?

Other than that, tell us what software you are useing etc, then someone might be able to help. If you havnt already tried, try some other software. Windows media player, Real player (don;t get this if you dont already its shit), and Winamp all play dvd's and are free.

bah thats it, it plays now :D

cheers man

You're joking, right? :-

Winamp is a music player, its second job is a video player, so don't expect magic from Winamp when it comes to video.

What you need is PowerDVD, its free, and played my Gumball DVD which didn't play in Windows Media Player, or my DVD player. Its not a big program either. Google for it, as i can never remember where to get it from, they keep changing management. (Y)
