cookie456_the2nd
Right, i need to get my old acs claw off, and get my new one on, without the proper tool. I cant get hold of one at the moment, and arent the different to the standard freewheel removing tools? Any one got any ideas? EDIT: Right, i got the tool but the freewheel just wont budge, its on a wheel, not a crank so its not as easy to just put in a vice. any ideas? Swize
Angle grind it off :( . Or I think theres a way when u undo the lock ring take everything out of the freewheel then clamp the bit that your left with in a vice and unscrew not to sure though. Will Arnold
angle grind the outer part with the teeth on both sides untill it falls off in two halves, then angle grind two flats on the internal part, wack it in a vice then turn the crank :(

PaRtZ
hehe yeah angle grinder is the best. Just dont dive into the crank threads with it. Will's got the best explanation though really

Siders77
Clamp the Freewheel Tool in a vice and then try that way? Meh, I dunno.
gilly
I got mine off with a blowtorch, heat it up, put cold water on it to cool it, and then it should have loosened up enough to undo... Actually that might not work too well on a wheel.... :"> Edited July 3, 2005 by gilly
