G-Jordan
hey Basically, i am a noob when it comes to this ffw malarky, but having just tried to put a new acs freewheel onto my uci tensile cranks (with uci bash), i have found that my freewheel screws all the way up to the bash and stops the freewheel from freewheeling B) . I must of either bought incompatible parts or am missing something i need to do that is vital? any ideas whats wrong? cheers, george
Bionic Balls
how long is your BB axle? which freewheel do you have...? Solutions- longer axle grind tabs off freewheel (sounds harsh, isn't) adam EDIT: oops....thought you meant BB, not bash B)" do what he said (below): Edited June 30, 2005 by ad101
AdamR28
A thin spacer between the bashring and freewheel will do the trick - it just needs a little bit of clearance to stop it bottoming out B)
G-Jordan
cool, i figured might need a spacer, but am not really sure what to use? Not sure i really have anything. How thin does it need to be because i don't want the freewheel to be held on by not enough threads? thanks for your help guys, george
Lawnmowerman
Go to a bikeshop and ask for a cassette spacer. They cost about 50p B)
