175mm Cranks On A Mod

Onzaboymark has 175mm tensiles, and he's more than content with them.

I have 170mm tensiles, longer cranks give you more 'jip' when gapping. Make your gearing feel slightly easier, but your going to have to more your legs more (obviosly).

Probably better for natural i would have thought, but it boils down to personal prefference.

:D

Yeah, I use 175mm cranks, I run 22:14 which is 1.57 gearing, whereas I used to use 160mm cranks with 18:12 which is 1.5 gearing. With longer cranks they obviously give more leverage so the gearing does feel easier, so basically I have the same gearing as before... if you get me :D

However, longer cranks do let you push more energy into pedal kicks etc. but they do feel a little odd at first when you have been used to shorter cranks, but 175mm is good, but 170mm is probably the comfiest for me...

As JT says, it's all down to personal preference.

Hope this helped :P

175mm cranks make me spuff. Easy to kick (like 18:13), but you still get all the power of 18:12. I really don't get why mod riders always seem to limit themselves to fecking tiny 158mm cranks...

Ah well, amazing for me so screw everyone else I get :D

longer the cranks the more leverage you have therefore more power quicker.

no point using diddy cranks when you can use longer cranks and touch the cranks down more and have more power????? Koxx 20" bikes come with 175 cranks so there must be something behind running 175 cranks considering most koxx world team riders are world champions????? :D
