Luke Rainbird
Won't it depend on your riding style, terrain, how strong you are and many other factors? Surely two similar gearings will be hard to decide upon with such limited knowledge of your situation

Ali C
I deffo found 14 on the back to be best, if a little too easy, byt 13 was way too hard. I am getting some tensile cranks with an 18.15 ratio, should be spot on, if its too hard 18 16 still feels nice.

Making a 13.5t ring :)
Ali C
or I could cut a 13 and 14 tooth ring in half and stick them together?

Trebor
16:14 though that's with 165mm I would like to try 170's or 175's, have a bit more snappy power for my lil skinny legs :"> Or maybe get a 15t cog . .
benno
Fatmike runs 16:15, but it actually doesn't feel insanely spinny (pretty spinny though). All I can say is you'll have to try it for yourself, there's very little we can say to help I'm afraid :D Definitely don't run 16:15, as you will be likened to Fatmike :P
