AdamR28
Koxx stock forks don't have an international standard mount. You'll have to get a larger (30mm diameter more) rotor to fit.

AdamR28
Indeed, its a bit of a strange thing to do! You can get them custom cut by Hope, same price as normal, you'd need a 215 (but worth going for 210 just to make sure) :P Adam
evileye
so i cant just buy from like chain reaction cycles i have to custom order? thanks for the help dave
AdamR28
Unless they have a 210 rotor in stock... which is very unlikely.

chrishayton
before you do think about this. buy a 160 caliper mount for the avid( around 7 quid from wiggle) and just get a 190 rotor from hope. the rather lovely tryall rotor is 190 so you could get that, it d cost around 30 quid for both and then your sorted :P
evileye
umm i might just do that how much is the rotor from hope?

Bruiser1
With a 185mm rotor, you can get an avid 160mm adapter and run that on the forx. Would be like having a rotor 2.5mm less in radius, so part the very top of the pad won't contact the rotor. It would work, if you absolutely have to ride asap, and manage to get your hands on one. Your local shop should have Hayes 6" front adapters, those do the trick just fine as well with a 185 or 190 rotor. Getting a 6" adapter and a 190mm rotor from hope sounds like probably the easiest to do, so go for that if you can. The mono trial rotors look real nice. Magura also makes 190mm rotors, which is what Koxx supplies their stock bikes with, but they don't look as nice as the mono trial rotors if you worry about that type of thing. You can also get a 8" setup, by using a rear 203mm adapter upside down, or a front 160mm adapter with a bunch of spacers.
AdamR28
Surely it would be less hassle to just buy a custom rotor (210/215), than a new bracket AND a custom rotor (190)?
chrishayton
yeh but a 215 rotor on a avid would be way too powerful. and that size rotor is more likely to catch on things

Bigman
I have heard, but i am not 100% on this that if u run the avid CPS mount upside down on koxx forks, with a 185mm rotor then it works, that is a 185mm CPS mount, give it a go before u send anything back :P So basicaly remove the black bracket, flip it the other way around, and wack it all back together, see if it works. :D Adam
