Yeh i did like it, could deffinatly do with some music though, i supose it gives us the option of playing our own in the background, and then no one can go on about it being a bad tune...

Looks like you have so good moves going down there too!

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. Yeah I need to learn to edit properly with some music and things like that.

A big thanks has to go to the G unit himself for showing me how to compress the file, so thanks nick.

The footage was only taken from 2 rides so there wasnt much variation.

I have got some footage from 2 years ago which I will make a smaller vid from, this will be alot more streety.

Great video, again reminds me too a bit of Felix Meuke (sp?)

What rim and brakepads do you use by the way? Do you use a grind, if so harsh, medium...?

Oh and how would you rate how it works for lock and modulation?

I want a brake like that on my monty 221, Im fed up of loud brakes so want to go ultra-quiet, and hope it makes me ride smoother (or at least look like it)

I run brown koxx bloxx on a harsh grind, although in the video the grind is kind of dead.

Probaly not the best bite but it locks and holds well.

That was cool man! You're going large whilst keeping silky smooth. Respect. Looks like a nice garden thingy you have there too! Bring another vid out soon :">

I agree, def bring out another vid soon.

Seeing your and Felix Meuke's silent-brake riding lately has inspired me to probably get my new hog rim ground and perhaps run coust pads or something (im guessing the grind would last a bit longer with coust's maybe)

  • 8 months later...

awesome vid Jamie, really nice smooth style!

i dont think the sound of the rear brake has ANYTHING to do with the pads at all...... or even if you run a heavy or light grind. its all about vibrations.....

on my T-rex, i tried all sorts of pads, deep grinds, light grinds, no grinds, and it NEVER ONCE made a sound......

until i took off my xtr booster, and it suddenly got REALLY loud!

its all about the vibrations :) i know ill be sticking my xtr on my ashton when i get some new bolts, just for the silentness of it!

hope to see you in soton on sunday!
