Endohopper
Ideally , chainrings and cogs should be replaced when fitting a new chain , too . I don't honestly bother though , just replace my chain every 4 months , and a fresh chainring + cog twice a year .
Will Arnold
expensive buisness replacing chains once every 4months! i reccon a kmc kool chain replaced avery 5 months should do the trick, :shifty:

JT!
Never had to change mine.I'll only change it if it breaks ← (Y) you'll end up like your avatar then. I think 2/3 of a year at a maximum. But if i was to change a frame, or bb or something like that i'd do it anyway. They're only a tenna.

Urpedigreechumdog
Once every 5 or 6 months, I have just recently changed my chain and cog (Y)
Lawnmowerman
Every 2/3 months. I do A LOT of gaps and I would rather have a chain I can trust than have it snap and get injured. They're only £10 so it's well worth it (Y)
Urpedigreechumdog
My mate snaps chains like buggery (it's hilarious, especially drop gapping to face plant / bars in balls), he went through a stage where he snapped a chain 2 or 3 times a day, for about a week, he kept replacing the broken chain with a shit chain, now he runs a taya bmx chain and it seems all good so far. I snapped a taya (not saying that they are shit, cos they are actually really good) and went to kmc, then recently replaced my kmc for a fatter kmc. Littleharrys
Either once a year or when it snaps. Proberbly should do it every 6 months just to be safe, 15/20 quid to save your face? Not much really Harry

Ross W.
I cannot remember the last time I replaced a chain. Probably about a year, year and a half ago. The one I have now skips once in a while, hasn't on anything big yet. We'll see.
