JoNnY__Mc
okay... i was out riding today, just taking it easy and trying to improve my balance on the back wheel. ok so i got my front wheel up and started to hop as u do, and then i did a little pedal hop... i can't exactly remember what i did... but i must have twisted as i did this... straight away i had a sharp shooting pain in my kidney area. this has happened to me quite a few times now and i know that it takes a long long time to recover from... i was just wondering if this happens to you? why does it happen? am i doing something wrong? oh my god it hurts  :- just taken some pain killers... and the ice doesn't seem to work... mavic
When i first started i got that alot, it does how ever goes away . What u are doing is pulling the musels in the bottom of your back :- Mate it hurts but it will go away.
Impacted.
You pulled a muscle probably. I did it a few times sometimes worse than others and when i use it afterwards it really hurts and for some reason pushed all the air out of my lungs. Give it some rest for a few days. Chris Cook
Yea it was when i first started trials i got this aswell . But i still always feel some stiffness n the bottom of my back. It should go away. I think it will be your muscles getting used that havent been used as much as it is and getting stronger :-"
Dan Hardman
make sure you rest till its completely better before you ride again, i pulled a few muscles in my back and never let them heal properly i just kept riding and putting up withthe pain, now my back huts quite a bit when i ride :-
Siders77
I get this in my elbow quite a lot, all I do is rest for a few days then it goes away  Don't do what I did first and think it'll be ok to ride with because then it'll just get worse! :-
trialsking 55
i had trouble with my bike with really bad aching pains all over it. it was because i had a few days off school and was just sat at home on the computer all day but i had bad posture so it propper knackered it. about two weeks off riding and it was back ( pun inteded ) to normal. :-

JoNnY__Mc
thats the exact thing thats happened... you see it happened around lunch... then i just thought nothing of it, got back on and it hurts so much :-... then i had to ride home around 4... and i just could'nt ride... cant even stand up on the bike...
yoyoyo
Yeh, just be careful when you get back on cause you will feel fine but can still hurt your back.Just start easy, with moves were you don't need to turn
Tomm
Yeah, I think this is quite a common thing for beginnners to experience. I did and it was really annoying. I just took loads of painkillers and said f**k it. Codeine or Co-codamol for super strength. You'll grow out of it :-
TrashZen
Yea it was when i first started trials i got this aswell . But i still always feel some stiffness n the bottom of my back. It should go away. I think it will be your muscles getting used that havent been used as much as it is and getting stronger :-" ← Same story there...but after riding regularly, it disapeared... :D I guess it's because you start using muscles that you are not used to pull...and those are very strong muscles too...so don't damage them...build up progressively... ^_^

SQuiT-man
Ive had this a couple of times, when i used to ride DH it happened once and made me stop riding for a couple/few weeks for it to clear up, but I done it again lately and had to take about 3 weeks or so off, too! Havent had any problems since though. This was also done just while I was simply backhopping by the way, and it CANED to backhop for the next few weeks if i tried to ride my bike, it was mainly that position+set of forces on the back that hurt.
