biketrialler
Does he get good marks for that stuff? Theres nothing arty about them at all. They look like someone has taken out a digital camera, set it to auto, pointed it, clicked a button and thats it. Not bad riding like, but photographically they are pretty tame. Smo™
No idea mate, he just called me asking if I minded. Obviously I didn't, he just whipped out a digital camera and followed me for the day. Haven't heard anything else about it.

Rob_P
Yeah there alright photos, good riding but as its been said not very creative! Theres lots of things he could of done! One thing that would look cool is to shoot at night and place a slave flash near the rider so that when your flash goes off it sets the other slave off, the rider would be highlighted with everything else around dark! He could of put it on a tripod and do some nice multi shot and blend together in photoshop! Loads of possibilitys! Rob :'(
nohpee°
picked a sweet overcast day One thing that would look cool is to shoot at night and place a slave flash near the rider so that when your flash goes off it sets the other slave off, the rider would be highlighted with everything else around dark! dont even have to shoot at night just underexpose and fill-in flash it, gives you more time. not cheap though if done proper. F-Stop Junkie
If you underexpose, then use fill flash, then you'll probably end up with a generally underexposed image. If you get a high enough flash output with an underexposed background then it looks unreal. The difference should be about two stops. It's a bit like Canon's flash metering system which if you hit the active focus point will underexpose the background slightly too much for my liking. Speaking of optical slaves, these also don't work with some flash systems - again, like Canon - which use a pre-flash, and the slave would be triggered before the exposure. Wireless systems are a better bet, radio triggers better still, but not cheap!
nohpee°
not proper fill-in, just the same process, only marginally underexposing so the background is still visible
Luke Drewery
Nice pictures, but as people have said they only look like some that would be taken when you're out on a local ride, nothing special.
colly
why is the outline blotchy around you and no where else?
