JTM
Right im a member of a escort forum for when my car goes tits up. And there is a thread about insurance. Now there are some people who are like 19 with RS2000's etc and they have £750 fully comp insurance on his own. Now I rang the same company as him CIS, and they quoted me £3195 fully comp or £3000 TPFT on a 1.4 n reg escort parked on the drive worth £800.................. This is really infuriating and he told me its due to the L postcode and that liverpool and manchester have the biggest premiums. So if you live there, what are your insurance quotes, who with and what for?

totaltrials
Ye it's rubbish, Cornwall is where it's at, cheap cheap cheap. Funny thing is Liverool is not that bad, it's a lot better than other cities in England, but probably more excuses from rip of insurances to make the bill higher. (John, ignore that you nearly got beaten by a gang in a car with baseball bats) :- Phil. Edited June 17, 2005 by totaltrials
JTM
Lol yeah neglect that one incident phillis By mine and especially by yours it isnt bad phil. By anals isnt good and even worse nearer town. But having that L at the start of the postcode tar's you with the same brush as the rest of liverpool. Tomm
Can you register it somewhere else? A friend of mine in Manchester has his car registered in Kendal, so the insurance is really cheap, even though he doesn't live there ever :-
Tony Harrison
Yes John, they shaft you good and proper. If I register insurance at my parents RH postcode instead of my L one here, it's LESS THAN HALF THE COST. Stupid really, but that's how it goes. I'm 23, have had a licence for four years, no claims or accidents and CIS wanted £1695 for me on a 1.1 litre Fiesta with a value of £300!! Something ain't right there. My mum found a quote with someone else if I registered the same car at their house and it was £460.
