Michael Hardman
Right I have had problems with MSN for a long time now, while using Internet Explorer I have been unable to load hotmail webpage on my computer and have had to use other computers to view my emails. Now with Internet Explorer I had a yellow bar come up everytime I load a page up on the web it said something like allow this site or something. Now I have firefox as defualt that box doesnt come up anymore and I think this will solve my problem viewing hotmail. Only problem now is that when i load up hotmail through msn chat box thingy it loads hotmail up through internet expolerer. My question is how do I get msn to load hotmail up using firefox? Has anyone seen my shoe?
You have to do it manually unfortuantly. I always have it open in a tab.
Michael Hardman
I had a brainwave and its prob a bad one at that. Simon
I had a brainwave and its prob a bad one at that. What if I was to delete IE from my computer using the control panel, will that screw my computer up. ← You can't. Trust me, if there was a way, it would be spammed everywhere, as everyone with Firefox & Messenger is in the exact same boat. MSN 7 doesn't even address this issue. RicH_87
i've deleted as much of internet explorer as is humanly possible yet it still manages to open up when i click the msn link. Now i just open it on msn, then copy the address from IE to firefox. p.s i asked this ages ago and the answer was the same.

Sam Nichols
Actually you are all wrong, there is something that can be done! An add-on that is fairly similar to the MSN PLUS add-ons allows you to Open links like "My Inbox", MSN Spaces and "New Email" popups in your default browser! Here's the info on all the features off the add-on - CLICK Here's where you can download it - CLICK And that should solve everybodys' problem. Enjoy!

The Dude
or use Gaim its the Linux version of MSN its got trick bits like tabbed conversations, and opens in fire fox as default. you can set an alias to every person in your list (YOU choose their names) easier to have multiple accounts on it. it also tells you when some one closes the window, blocks or deletes you. feel like annoying some one? you can set a "pounce" to send a set message every time they type. other than that its got everything that MSN 7 does, exept easier to use and a friendlier lay out. and you can download loads of skins for it. if you like firefox, you'll love this. biketrialler
Indeed, the Mac version of Gaim (AdiumX) is awesome  Its great being able to rename contacts so they dont have all their stupid names! 'emo.x.core.iwanttokillmyself.now.core.x.x.x.suicide.takingbacksunday.x' to "Ella"

MadManMike
Microsoft will do jack about this problem, solely because they want the monopoly and everything on windows to be Microsoft. Why would they make MSN work with Firefox? Then you'd be using someone elses software... Just leave hotmail in a tab as said before. Or even better ditch shitty hotmail and use your ISP address in Outlook or whatever...
Michael Hardman
Alls ok I have it working finally just wanted to know ive uninstaled msn on my computer but I still have hotmail account. If people want to talk to me through the Gaim program can they still just add me by adding my hotmail account to their contacts.
