I used to play return to castle wolfentein, probably one of the best single player games EVER. The online game was pretty fun too, but I found the games too repetative and the wepons a bit boring. I lost the cd though :-

I have got games like counter strike and call of duty, but both are the crappest games I have played ever!

I also have tryed far cry, half life 2 and unreal tournament. I didnt really like them and I cant even get on unreal tournament online (Y)

so far return to castle wolfenstien is by far the best online game I have played.

I used to play Enemy Territory alot online, played it for about 6 months and loved it, my fav server used to always have new maps each week that never got borring.

Then played Halo 2 online for quite a while, but got bored off americans and there annoying winning weather they lost or won and all the insults that came afterwards, pretty pathetic if you ask me.

Now Im playing Guild Wars on PC, loving it atm, not overly absorbing like WoW seems to be too ALL my friends at work that play it (Im the only one who resisted while they all lost there lives :'( ) But yea its great fun looks really nice and best of all its FREE so no monthly fee's which is good because I usually go riding instead of playing games anyways.

Im now a lvl17 N/E using the same user name as on here :lol:

Olly.

CounterStrike for me!

1.6 but source when im bored of 1.6, but the regs and hit boxes are wank on source, can someone tell me the tweaks so it runs properly ??? :D

echodave@hotmail.com if u wanna add me  :shifty:

Dave :shifty:

Put your rates to rate 25000 cl_updaterate 101 cl_cmdrate 101 and if that ain't good enough try rate 20000 cl_updaterate 75 cl_cmdrate 75.

And the hit boxes on Source are model wrapped, so they ain't wank :)

Ok, right, I have decided that I may take a little gander into online gaming. I will buy World Of Warcraft. However,

I own a G4 1Ghz Apple ibook which as we all know are not huge powerhouses. My computer seems to fit the requirements (apart from RAM, but I am buying more). Here are the Required Specs on the left, and my specs on the right;

Mac® System OS X 10.3.5 OS:

* 933 MHz or higher G4 or G5 processor -> G4 1Ghz

* 512 MB RAM or higher; DDR RAM recommended -> 256MB RAM (upgrading to 1GB)

* ATI or NVIDIA video hardware with 32 MB VRAM or more -> 32MB VRAM

* 4 GB or more of available hard drive space -> I have enough

* MacOS X 10.3.5 or newer -> I have that

* 56k or higher modem with an Internet connection -> Broadband

Ok so my machine will just meet these requirements, but are these just the minimum? I can't be bothered to play a game that will have the detail of a 5 year olds drawing and a hugely slow framerate. Will my computer be able to handle it well enough to make the game good?

To me it doesn't seem that graphically intensive, but that's on a desktop setup. So I can't be sure, but even on the lower graphical settings it still doesn't look bad. It's pretty hard to maek newer games look bad without going into 640x480 and lower resolutions.

I dunno what that game is like, but it might run really shit. I've played games on my PC where I've had almost twice the spec and it still runs really jerky :shifty:

Control Panel > System

Or for more detail - Start > Run > dxdiag :shifty:
