squince
Hey all, im asking a straight out question and would like a straight answer. Which pads are best on a ground echo rim 05, rim jam greens or grey koxx bloxx? Please dont tell me about other pads because i only have these pads :( cheers andy Edited June 14, 2005 by squince
Mark W
IF you have those pads, why not try them? There's no such thing as "grey" Koxx Bloxx either :( I'd also bet a lot of money that the majority of the Koxx Bloxx will last longer on a grind than Rimjams... squince
I say grey because there are other colours now. If i dident say grey you would of probablyy said ''what colour?'', anyways thanks for replyes :( cheers andy
JT!
I'd stay well clear of the rimjam. From my experences and they don't last very long looking on the pad review topic. I would go for the koxx bloxx. Which colour, i don't know. :(

Brown, blue, green, red and yellow are the only colours they do, going from hard -> soft in that order. That was why I was confused, basically... Anyway, as has been said many times in the Pads Topic at the top of the page - Koxx greens seem to work pretty well on a grind, and last for quite a while too. Done... Mr Motivator
Get Plazmatic CRMs. If you dont like them you can come round to my house and kick me in the balls.

Urpedigreechumdog
Rimjam blues and green, depending on the harshness of the grind. I use them because they are so damn cheap! Why bother spending nearly £20 a pair when you can get loads of pairs of 'jams (in bulk) cheap!

Why bother spending nearly £20 a pair when you can get loads of pairs of 'jams (in bulk) cheap! ← true but two friends bought rimjam greens at the bike, while they are well made pads, they lasted a few weeks (actually one of them is on one rimjam and one koolstop). One of them has gone through a rimjams, heatsink konigs and monty orangey ones, since the bike show. Thats over £30 on pads. While another mate bought koxx browns at the bike show and show little sign of wearing. anyhow...smooth rims and vees > * :) haha
Mark W
smooth rims and vees > * :) haha ← Yes, but if you even so much as put this picture in front of your bike: Your brakes won't work.

Urpedigreechumdog
Because the backings brake on the rimjams befor the material wares out. :'( ← Between me and my mates, we have easily had 25 pairs of rimjams, from various batchs and we have used all 3 compounds and never had any trouble. Just because a couple of pairs out of a thousand are faulty doesn't mean that every set are shit and will break  And to the guy who posted about CRM's lasting longer than konigs and rimjams.... Is this on a grind? If so i might have to invest in some, because i freshly ground my rim and it killed a pair of Konigs and a pair of green Rimjams in one week!
