Synergy
one of the main things i struggle with is the quarter turns, it holds me back so much like if i jump on to a thin obsticle i would have to jump of as i cant quarter turn on the back wheel. can anyone give me a guide to the best way of turning? Bionic Balls
try turning the other way....most people have a better side :( otherwise...just practise your back wheel control- manuals are good... adam
Synergy
yeah ok cool thanks, but is there no way its meant to be done like what to do with my shoulders or push it round with my legs?
JT!
If your left foot farward, you rotate clockwise. If your right foot farward, you rotate anti-clockwise. Although you'll get good at both after a few years. The trick is to flick your bars, if your rotating clockwise flick the bars to the right. But only do this when you trying to nudge round. It's hard to explain but it helps. At the end of the day you just have to get out and practise. :( Edited June 14, 2005 by JT!
Pork Pie
If your left foot farward, you rotate clockwise. If your right foot farward, you rotate anti-clockwise. ← I find the complete opposite to be easier :"> I know a few other people who do too. JT!
I find the complete opposite to be easier :"> ← Well theres always one :( . I think thats the general opinion, but it dosn't really matter becuase you have to get good at doing them both ways anyway.
Mr Motivator
I find the complete opposite to be easier :"> I know a few other people who do too. ← Yeah, I'm right foot forward but 180 and quarter kick to the right, although I can hop round on the backwheel in any direction easy. Stanners
Get on your back wheel and have a backhoppin style with bent arms or it may not work. Then you sort of hop and wiggle your bars to the direction you want to go to. hope this helps.good luck practisin'. :( ^_^

Mark W
Start to spin pretty early, and really place the bike where it needs to be with your legs and hips. Get your upper body and head in the right place and the rest should follow, basically.
Luke Drewery
I find the complete opposite to be easier :"> I know a few other people who do too. ← Yep, same here. I can turn both ways, and have recently learnt how to megaspin and hop both ways round too, it feels weird at first though. I am left foot forward and do most things to the left like sidehops etc. When i was learning it i found that say if you turn to the left, pull the left grip inwards and push the right grip outwards slightly as you hop, it may not be obvious but it helps a lot. :(
PaRtZ
I sort of do it in one. Crouch down, then gap forwards a tiny bit and twist my hips + arms round
