Mr Motivator
Look at the tyre where the Hot S logo is, then look opposite that and check the difference in thickness. ^_^ The actual wheel is perfect, just the tyre is dodge :( When I spin it, its all up and down but I dont really notice it when I ride ;) Sam Edited June 14, 2005 by Sam@SouthTrials
rhythm_101
check the tyre bead is seated properly, sometimes when you inflate a tyre, it doesn't sit properly on the rim, and gives the impression of flat spot, deflate the tyre, and mix some hand soap/fairy liquid with a little water then apply it to the bead and the inside of the rim, inflate the tyre to 60 odd psi untill it seats properly then rinse/wipe off the soap suds etc ^_^ :( Edited June 14, 2005 by rhythm_101
ScotchDave
Am I right in saying when you got the tire it came folded up, and when you unpacked it it had little bits that folded in, well I'm guessing thats what might have caused that. Just deflate the tire and go round the edge making sure its sitting properly, and if you find any of the folded in parts pop them out. :(
Burton
check to see the sidewall height of your rim as well. Check that the tyre is on properly. check your tube. Check the wheel build- is it egged?
Endohopper
Flatspotted tyre , :) . It does look dodgy indeed , I had a similar thing with a Schwalbe SPACE 2.35 . I simply removed the tyre entirely , kinda massaged / stretched the affected area and reseated carefully on the rim . Incidentally , ( off topic ) Loving the blue valve cap , I'm such a sucker for blue bike bits :"> . With what manufacturer's tubes are those supplied ?
