Mr Motivator
Somedays I really want to ride so bad but either have nowhere to ride or noone to go with.. Then I loose all motivation and seem to just run dry of energy :-
TrashZen
Eat pasta about an hour before you go riding...that'll give you plenty more energy than all the junk food you can get :- ... Then, motivation is a bit a more difficult one...find yourself a specific move you want to practise...and focus on it for the full ride :- ...that'll give you something to relate to...(worked for me in some occasions  )

Bionic Balls
steve's mum...being possibly the cheapest shopper ever ( :- ) got some "explosade" which (according to the ingredients) is basically glucose syrup and lots of crap :- However, it makes steve very hyper and suddenly he can ride sooo much better...EG: he sidehopped 3" higher than ever before  Don't ask why...he was like for the whole day (and for rides since). This "stuff" is from lidl by the way...cheap as. I've never tried it.... adam
Littleharrys
Yeah well you gotta eat a good meal the night before you plan to go out riding cos the body takes in the energy over time, not just an hour or two before you ride man. A good breakfast like cereal and toast. Whilst riding you should use energy bars or chocolate and plenty of fluids, lucozade is a good one and plain water. Stanners
Yeah ive been feelin like this for a while since ive been doin me exams. my bike feels so heavy, much heavier than it used to as it is a handsome dog. delusional
nope, drinking excessive amounts causes the cells in your body to swell. Swelling puts pressure on the brain and nerves, which can cause behaviors resembling alcohol intoxication. Swelling of brain tissues can cause seizures, coma and ultimately death unless water intake is restricted. Indeed. Leah Betts is a good example of what happens when you drink too much water. Recently I've had a lot of energy issues, although I think that's largely due to being a lazy stoner more than anything else. Also, the heat at the moment really doesn't help. I find that I'm exhausted within minutes of getting on my bike in this weather.
ben_travis
Energy is the one thing i feel i am certainly lacking at the moment, although i usually find energy is co-existant with motivation. Usually i am motivated to ride, although when i arrive at a spot, i think i cant be arsed. So to change this i tried riding natural (new video on the way) and this has helped me suddenly get huge bursts of energy. Also i have tried eating better/sleeping more/drinking healthy drinks, and it all helps, but obviously there are limits, i have to be active i hate being sat with nothing to do, such as right now hence im writing this . The weather also deflates me, if its pissing down i hate riding, when its ace weather im out, i love good weather, however i try to get out in worse weather to help my riding, which motivates me to push myself, which helps my energy (as explained in previous paragraph). Also if you are constantly riding the exact same stuff all the time, and not generally improving you wont feel happy with your riding, trials in my opinion is about improvement, whether this be being able to try a more tech move, or improve your manifesto stylee, to being able to out gap yourself/sidehop yourself etc, back on course now, my point is that if you dont feel happy with your riding you wont be energetic enough to keep going. all sorts of stuff effects this energy topic, and most have been explained, scientifically i imagine there is shit loads to discuss but thats for all these sports degree peeps, you loughborough lot, get explaining.... ben
colly
i have cronic fatigue syndrome i have had it now over a year and it nocks the shite out of me, it makes me feel tired most of the time, i got it through glandia fever which is very rare said the doctor, and worst of all there is no cure of chronic fatigue sydrome, and it can last as long as you live i feel like im getting better, whcih is due to my diet i try now and eat as many cereal bars as possible, and ive been and seen many health and diet specialists and they said drink 8 pints of water a day and it will help me stop bein tired and now i take a 'vitamin b' from holland and barret which are called busy b's. whcih really help. and i usually find lots of snacks make me tired while a big meal will give me lots of energy. Littleharrys
That sucks, unlucky man. Its good to see you dont give in though. I have had asthma for two years now and it really makes it harder to ride cos I get so out of breath after a few minutes. Trebor
Drink stuff thats tasty too, not plain water. Plain water makes you piss more, thus dehydrating you further, and doesn't make you wanna drink it. Aim for approx 100ml/10 mins. However its person-specific. By that do you stuff like adding Orange Squash or something to water? Or is it more than that, say lots of fruit juice, or tea etc? Just that I drink lots of water during that day, and do piss like a mofo so was wondering what I should drink instead (preferably the same amount) which would cause me not to piss like said mofo . . .
