Nick Garland
I will just stay with the echo rim, although it would be nice to get a blue front and rear rims.
Tartridge
Still for a lad of my age he aint doing bad and is pretty damn succesful lol so good on him :- ← You do realise that Dan doesn't actually own Viz?
Wayne-king
viz rims hold a grind about as well as a dog turd on ice  and the best way to get V!Z stuff is to bum Dan Ko a bit, have a V!Z avatar and then you are guranteed sponsorship :-
Will Arnold
yer, im prettey sure dan just distributes the stuff in the uk? then they have a distributor in france too? ta and btw, are the viz pads the same as plazzies? i mean, why would plazmatic sell their brake pads to viz so they can sell them? surely they would lose out?
Tartridge
It's not up to plaz to 'sell' their pads to Viz... They're all made in the far east, if Viz want to go and buy 2,000 sets, that factory will sell them. (Although I'm not sure they are the same)
Towler
My viz rim didnt hold a grind too well. I was using rim jam blues on it and the grind didnt hold up that long. I think at the moment the strongest rims are the echo and Onza rims and they also hold a good grind.
Lukeee
You do realise that Dan doesn't actually own Viz? ← He still isn't doing bad to be actually importing stuff into the uk. :- Someone was saying hes giving the company a bad rep? Bionic Balls
someone said that the rear hubs were nice 'n cheap....well £70 for a fixed rear hub doesn't sound cheap to me. That sounds bloody ridiculous  adam
Shaun H
someone said that the rear hubs were nice 'n cheap....well £70 for a fixed rear hub doesn't sound cheap to me. That sounds bloody ridiculous :- adam ← Aren't even Echo hubs £62 anyway though. And having seen the state the state of some of the Echo hubs arrive in I'd say the V!Z'd be worth the extra. On the other hand having heard so many cotradictory points made by Dan and his sponsors I don't know what to think of V!Z anymore  Edited June 13, 2005 by Shaun H
Caleb
Sorry i was talking form a mod riders point of view that the fixed hubs are £35 for rear not stock  . Yeah i knew he didnt own it and was just 1 of many distributors but still hell be earning a fair bit for a 15/16 year old. I only assumed the pads were the same as the plazmatic as they were the same colours and look identical, could be wrong but it is a strong possibility no? Sorry for the confusion
manuel
But they probably have rims that match their hair colour/underwear!" Dave ← Yeah i love my gold pants Dave . . . . . :-
Josh B
Can some one explain why viz bikes are meant to have a bad reputation for advetisment. Talking to dan on msn hes polite and is very easy to deal with : ask him a price he will have it, Ask him about the products he will tell you. He always on msn and easy to get hold of aswell. So surely this beats halfords etc, who you have to ring up for. Then have a 15 minute phone call whilst someone goes chech if they have parts in stock etc. Also if people want to buy these products and see them advertised they will be thankful and buy them, Where as if people don't want to buy the products click off the topic. And don't complain. Just sharing my point of view  Edited June 13, 2005 by Josh B
Bionic Balls
i can't talk for viz....but i found cleanbikes really helpful. It were a lady and she knew exactly what was what and which was better. I'm sure lots of others have good words for cleanbikes too. Not a dig...just you made them sound like halfords  adam
JT!
Cleanbikes are only good for monty foam grips. Have you seen the price of an ACS freewheel? And the 4 bolt mounts?
ben_travis
having used viz componenets at points in time over the past year and a half, i can truly say that the only viz part i have trusted is my forks, and i believe they will be snapping soon. they ahve lasted taps/hooks/abuse in general and the only viz component i haven't regretted purchasing. the rims were shit/are shit/ as my king is away in USA i have been using a friends king on a viz rim, and although i have been pushing myself i dont trust its sttrength at all. please stay away. sorry dan, but i dont believe they are trust worthy at all. meh ben

biketrialler
The Viz components seem to be average - in the same way Koxx, Megamo, Monty parts are average. Pretty much because they are the actual same parts from the same factory. I personally avoid buying Viz components as I dont believe the customer service to have a very good reputation - its just some little kid importing parts and making as much as he can. Tartybikes, though I havent bought from them yet, seem to have a very professional business attitude and appear to be a real shop. So yeah, no Viz for me. The advertising methods on here put me off, I dont want to see a 'professional' company having swarms of kids going 'viz are the win' to get sales. SQuiT-man
The thing that attracts me to cheese rims is purely the width- I NEED rims wider than 38mm if i want to run my tyres at a reasonably low psi, because of the type of riding that I do causes the tyres to fold and roll out of my current onza 38mm rim if I run anything under 30 p.s.i. (which I think feels horrible compared to a lower p.s.i.) For example, if I done a big 180 parrallel gap to the side, or if I mess up 180ing off something, when I land the tyres just roll and rip out of my rim unless they are rock hard, as the mod tyres are so fat! I cant find anything else that has the sufficient width I need, so a cheese rim is the only logical answer (and they dont weigh a bomb for the extra width, either). I dont intend grinding them (which they are would probably wear in no time unless you run the right type of pads e.g. coust or plaz), and I dont do stupidly big harshly landed drops, so for me they would suit fine. So dont slate them until another alternative ultra-wide rim comes out that is not made of cheese, as for SOME they are an excellent alternative. motocrossmumford
ok well basicly im not sponsored by viz at all, dan is a real good mate who has helped me out loads. lol no idea where the snapped forks idea came from ***cough***siders***cough*** but imo the forks are real good and basicly all the bits on my bike are viz and i havnt had a problem with any of them yet. at the end of the day who cares if theyve slightly coppied anotha company i mean look how many companies have coppied ashtons idea (the lo stand over and the moto trials bike look) and look how many people ride pitbulls and pythons??? viz is just another company like all the others but at the end of the day its useually the riders not the parts that cause them to break. oh yeah i do finally have my cast of it came of a week ago. after 16 weeks of being in a bloody cast (Y) but all the bits that are viz on my bike i have been riding with for quite a while. so watch ur backs cos il be back on a bike soon (N) kyle
Bath trials
Exactly. For me, it's nothing to do with the parts. THey may be great. It's the way people advertise them falsely on here and do a bit of bumming and get a discount. It's all lies! ← if you didnt notice the 'little Kid' that imports the Viz stuff is the only UK importer so I dont see how else people could get the parts. As people have said Dan is always on Msn, easy to deal with and the website is pretty good for finding out about parts. Cant quite understand about the advertising thing the people that have the Viz avatar and aren't sponsered by Viz don't get encouraged to put it on there its there choice (N) As for copying goes if anyone remembers Zoo! when it first started and they brought out the Boa and the Lynx, well I know for sure that the Lynx was an exact copy of the Monty frame, and Boa was based/copied on the levelboss, but for some reason everyone seems to love them. Anyway I dont see how the people who havnt even considered buying Viz stuff are posting in here, surly your opinion doesnt mean anything?? Im not saying Viz are the greatest company in the world they have good points and bad points, but I just find it harsh when people say things without thinking first. sorry for the longish post, im done now Adrian
Mark W
Dan offering people discount to make threads about Viz parts so he could advertise them on the forum contrary to the board guidelines slipped you by then? If you don't think that's a big deal, PM me and I'll explain why it's shit in general. Can't really be arsed typing it all out again. Basically, long story short: Banners = bought by companies. Trials-Forum = needs money to run. Money from companies = Trials-Forum runs. People start abusing the guidelines = people don't bother buying banners 'cos there's no point. No money = no T-F.
