JT!
http://tartybikes.co.uk/products.php?produ...hain_tensioners :D ← Second that, nice and simple. But with the t-pro you can run snail cams which are much better. Look into them. (Y)

JT!
Sorry to steal the thred but how do snail cams work ? Sam ← They go on the axel, and a screw is interted thought the hole in most frames. The cams then rest against these screws, they are shaped to that when you turn them they pull the wheel further back. IMO they hold the wheel much better than the standard chain tugges. It's quite hard to explain, but they are a really simple design, that's probably why they work so well. (Y) Edited June 9, 2005 by JT! PaRtZ
Snail cams are good. Lightweight and work surprisingly well. Except with most non-monty frames you need a bolt to go into the hole in the dropout. Imagine what happens if you have a spiral on a CD. Slowly spin the CD and the line moves from the centre, outwards towards the edge. Similarly as you turn the snail cams (usually a mallet helps) it pushes against the lug/bolt which in turns pulls your wheel back (Y) Hope that helps
Mark W
I dunno, chain tugs always seem to work for me... Basically any 10mm chain tug you can buy will be fine, really. 10mm axle-specific chain-tugs will accomodate the 5mm allen key bolt that will, in effect, be your axle, and the hole won't be so big it won't be able to take the chain tug. www.customriders.com, www.alansbmx.com or www.winstanleysbmx.co.uk (or .com?) will all sell ones that'll work... Dai the Socket
← Those snail cams are really really hard to get hold of. The ones with notches! I'm wanting some because I'm having problems with keeping my rear wheel tension on the 05 Python. Apparently it's designed for Zoo! Tensioners only, but I don't know of any Zoo! Tensioners :( Nick
Mark W
Zoo/Echo = same difference. Dan Ko apparently has them.
