Rob_P
I fookin love loud hubs!!!! They rule! Not grease, stretched spring in a hope are good, until they go bang! (Y) I remember in tricks and stunts, their hubs are SOOO loud!
Mr Motivator
Well, yes and no. I used to like my hope loud, but my king I think I prefer it a little quieter as I usually have to put more lube in to keep it from skipping. So dunno really
Mr Motivator
" ← Ha, says the man whos king in the 'Pads' video sounded like an F1 car. How did you get it that loud? (Y) Put in 2 springs? lol
JT!
I like lood hubs / freewheels. But that is at the very bottom of the priority list. I wouldn't pick a certain hub just 'because it was load. Edited June 7, 2005 by JT!

sm_ben
I prefer quiet bikes makes a nice change loud hubs P me off, annoys me when people dismantle their hubs and remove any lube to make them louder-the lubes in there for a reason! Mark W
Wheres the 'i dont care either way' option? (Y)" ← It's also known as the "Not opening the thread" option :) As someone said though, the volume doesn't dictate "good"ness. There's a cheap-ass BMX in the bike shop here with some kinda random 54 engagement point freewheel (it's fifty something, at least). It's hella loud, and hella sketchy. One pawl engagement, anyone? Endohopper
Kinda like the technical tickety-click of a good hub . Caleb , you jokingly suggested your Hope XC is pretty noisy , I'm buying one soon ( 2nd hand ) - I presume these are generally noisy ? Hope so . Any info on reliability ? RyanRs
Standard hope xc that i dont thinks been greased in a loong time beeatch lol. (Y) ← ah, see mine has a few mods, like 'double vale springs' (so i call them), degreased and i have removed the front green muck seal. so basically, it runs dry and if i want to clean the insides, i just get a jet wash to it! i been runin it like this for 6 months so far without problem, but it is on its way out though so i dont really care if it dies, cos i getin a king.
