Just done it with water, and I have to say, it fells absolutely great! best feeling brake I have ever felt, a massive improvement! In the end I used the search and found an old post from Biff, and used his technique, which is very very simple and gives a perfect bleed without any equipment needed other than the allen keys (obviously) and a container of water. And when it accidentally freezes...couldn't it burst the joints (around the cylinders or so) and then need a new bleed? (Y) How long have you been running on water? Just curious..I may try some day... B) ← When the water freezes, the water expands (as we know :P). This simply pushes the pads out :) It acts as though you were gently, slightly pulling the lever, in essence. When it thaws, they just slip back in. Simple as that :S Haven't needed a new bleed, although I redid the first one 'cos it was poop. I've been running it for ages now, I think... Since October or something ridiculous. If not longer... It feels really nice, but I guess the thing is just to keep it out of the cold, maybe I should keep my bike in my room during winter or something! Could be a good oppertunity for some wallride practice each night before I go to sleep. lol. If it froze and the pads went out til they hit the rim, but it continued freezing (this may particularly effect it if brakes are set up close to the rim), surely it might just crack/split the hosing?
