Problems With Dmr Tension Seeker 2?

Kristian

Recommended Posts

I bought a chain seeker 2 of CRC for £30 and ive had a massive problem with it. The linear spring holding the chain tensioned is just too weak and the chain would go slack a couple of times a ride  . Ive tried everything, flipping round the linear spring, getting new ones, taking out the spacer in the middle so i could lock it out (it didnt work due to fact my chain tension isnt constant so it would eventually go all slack  ) but i have the answer! I have used 2 linear springs, one in the normal place and one between the mech hanger and tensioner! :P If anyone wants to know more (pictures etc), pm me!

My tension seeker 2 was shite aswell, the spring was pooooo, i put it on before i went to work, left it till i got home (3 hours) then went for a mini ride, and the spring had bent and it was chain slap galour! so i just took it off ad it went in the tool box, ready for some for some form of bodge.

i know exactly what u mean! but went for a long ride today and i had no problems!!! Now you know what to do, just email DMR and they'll send some new springs like they sent me and do this bodge . It works.

lol, i snapped a little flimsy bit of aluminium off the tension seeker when i was fitting it too (Y)" how come they haven't lasted long? Yeah i had a surly singulator and it took a lot of abuse, only once the spring bent but after taking it apart and bending it back, it worked again! loved it, shame it got stolen with my bike....
