hugh_b
Hi, i am after a new pair of trials shoes, as my monty's are looking a little out of date and worse for ware. I have tried the new monty shoes but have found them too wide as i have narrow feet. What experiences have you had with the ribo shoes. i know they will grip well because of the davos sole but is the shoe well made and durable. also can you use the ratchet on the shoe to make them narrower loike you can use the laces on the monty shoes?? -Hugh
Hobnobs
I know they're not ribos. But do not buy YIK shoes, the soles are ripping after 4 days solid riding. For whatever they are, its not worth it. Ive heard good things bout Ribo's though :P Edited June 5, 2005 by Hobnobs

Mark W
You can't really review a product after less than one days use? :P

Mark W
Er, yeah, but one day's use doesn't mean shit to do with wear rate: ive had both. My try-alls went exactly the same as yours, ive had severa pairs and theyve all gone like that. I even had them re-soled and they went again. My ribos. The soles are still ok think there is a tiny hole beggining to show. However the material has torn this happened within a month of me getting them, i have holes near the ankles now. It has improved ventilation :P but no not happy. Im not too keen on the monty ones but might give them a go. ← To be honest i ahve seen alot of Ribo's falling apart or ripped. I would say the best soles to have are the davos style, have you considered the new monty shoes coming out next week? They seem really good and very quick to put on unlike other riding shoes. Take a look at the news section on the cleanbikes web page:Here ← Danny, trust me, you will regret getting trials specific shoes. I know you said don't say it, but just get proper trainers. Last longer, cheaper and you don't look a twat. By the way, im basing that on what other people have told me about trials shoes. I've heard nothing but bad news really. Jack's Try All's fell apart after only afew week, Danny (Foster) had Ribo's, they didn't last long and he's back to Vans, and I'm pretty sure Tange has said his are f**king up pretty quick aswell. ← Etc. But yeah, there seem to be some people they last for a while for, and some that they don't.
