Koxx Headsets?

Hey people,

Im going to get a new headset for my new trials bike and i am concidering the koxx tryall headset but is it ball bearing or cartridge headset?? otherwise its going to have to be a cane creek S2.

Get anything but a Koxx headset, they are rip offprices. I had a Cane Creek C2, was nice. But I would try an FSA Orbit UF as I had one of those too and prefered it.

I think the Koxx is a rebranded £5 headset made in Taiwan jobbie.

The koxx headsets are THN Industries. Cheap.

I've used one since I got my coust, last summer. No problems yet, just that it doesn't spin very smoothly. I don't barspin much though, so it's OK.

Also, it was the lowest stack headset I could find, so I bought it so I could use my Echo forks which I had cut the steerer down loads to fit my previous ride, which had internal headset and shorter headtube.

All in all a decent headset.

I definitely would have gotten get something more expensive and sealed if it wasn't for my headtube length, but hey.

A koxx headset is good but so are all the other non branded headsets from your LBS which are all pritty much the same (N)" What ever ink and processes they use to brand koxx products must be expensive due to the price of there stuff :P :deej:

So in short go and get a headset from your LBS that is the same as the koxx one(minus branding). they work perfectly well and you can do something fun and interesting with the change that you have left :-
