Alexx
I want to know why they take so damn long to get to the UK. I read a thread like this on an american forum I post on... must have been about 2+ months ago now, where everyone was really raving about it. Apparently not a good film to go see drunk though, my friend got bored and stopped watching half way through, admittedly he could hardly focus on the screen and it was 4.00am :-

zoojames
Just wondering, is everyone jumping on the bandwagon of "OmFG I luff the CiTy SiN...Is da r0xx0r, wtf its no comic book" or has anyone acctually ever read a Sin City comic book? Being a comic fan I think the film is amazing but am still annoyed by little fan geeks, alas LOTR...sorry for the bitch, in a bad mood :- James :)

hititfaster
I 'aquired' it a few weeks ago, Joe, and I'm right behind you on this one - top film. Tarantino was a cameo director for it, and it shows... If you liked Pulp Fiction, watch this. Also, I found out the other day that there are tweo more to come - this is just the first installment (Y)

Ben Swales
i've read the comics, and can't wait to see the film!! i can't believe it was hot entirely with blue screen and then the backgrounds computer edited later. it gives it a really nice comic-book feel- its cool! Tarantino was a cameo director for it, and it shows he was paid $1 do guest direct for 1day. so although it may show in a little bit of the film, its not likely to have influenced the film as a whole. i believe it was mainly car scenes he worked on. I hope the film is as close to the comics as possible, and this film was three of the "series" combined so there is still a large room for others! I hope other comic artists follow this trend, the whole Hulk, Spiderman, Catwoman thing has kinda got thin, they don't follow the originals its just more hollywood money.... I want to see some adventures of Spider Jerusalem (Transmetropolitan, go read now!) James :) Thinking no less of t-f users for not reading the comics, just thinking they should! Fuse
It was largely directed by Robert Rodriguez (Desperado, From Dusk Till Dawn, Once Upon A Time In Mexica, etc). Frank Miller (the author of the comics) didn't do any directing as such, but was credited as a director at the request of Rodriguez, who felt that as the story and the whole world of Sin City was created by Miller, he should jointly be credited. The guest directing by Tarantino would have been small I imagine, and owed much to the fact that Rodriguez and Tarantino are good friends.
