Ben Geary
hey, i've just brought a kmc kool chain of ebay and my mate say's they are really thick, but are they to thick to run round my 8 speed cassette, will it get caught between the cog's because the cog's are quit close to each other, and if it does catch on the other cog's is there any way of stopping this. thanks, ben
Luke Drewery
Is it an 8 speed version or the bmx singlespeed version, as the 8 speed will fit (obviously) however the bmx one will not due to it being too wide. You should have checked before you bought it, it should have said in the description...
N.Wood
I'm gonna assume it's the BMX one... Get that old cassette thats been lying in your shed for the last hundred years, and undo/snap the bolts that are in the back of it, holding it together. Now sort out the cogs from the spacers. Get your current cassette. Undo (don't snap!) the bolts that hold it together. Sort the cogs from the spacers. Now get about 4 cogs that you use most often (you must use the very last cog as it has the serrated edge for your lockring bolt to dig into). Have ap lay around with the spacers and cogs. Ok, basically you need 2 spacers in between each cog. Sort it out so it has 2 between each cog. Do the rear bolts up. Do the lockring up. Put on chain. Waynio
some of the 8spd ones dont even fit, you need to sometimes run UCI trials gearing for them to fit better. but most of the 8spd ones will fit with either 1 or 2 links out and some with none out at all. single speed will deffinatly NOT fit. theres probably like 90 links or 100 links which sometimes is way too short.
