andyroo
I use Autocad at work, and Ive just got a sly copy of 3ds max, and it is really comlicated to use! Does anyone know of a good tutorial site or anything for it? Good job with the frame by the way :)

Luke Drewery
Those designs are both good, CAD systems can be difficult to use depending on which one. Personally im pretty poor at using them at school but i have never really needed to use them properly yet. That frame is good for a first try though :)

andyroo
andy... seriously... GOOGLEPOP! ← I understand the google bit.. but not pop I was only asking because a google search gives you thousands of tutorials, most of which are utter monkey spunk, and I wanted to save some time by not having to sift through them all. Mark W
With regards to who asked about threads, I'm guessing it's the same way you do spirals just with the Helix tool majigger. Can't remember off hand what it's called though :"> Basically though, you just draw the shape that you want to spiral (or make look like a thread), set a sketch path for it to follow along, then set the parameters.
