N.Wood
where abouts ona telegraph pole is there some? ← Depends on your specific post :P Some bright spark was selling 'Black Gold' on Ebay, could get some from there i guess. However you're much better off either: 1. Asking around the local riders, those who have seen the light and ground their rims will have no need for it anylonger. 2. Have a look on your local roads, we found a load that had been inadvertently spilt that was easily dug up with a multi tool and a spare 20 mins <_< 3. Ask your local builders for some 'Kettle tar' 4. Find other spources, such as poles or roofs. 5. Give up and get a grind :)

Learn to hop forwards without releasing the brake so you can get right on the edge. I used to give tar away but i don't do it anymore, my amazingly simple system of send me a self addressed envelope was far too much for some minds to handel. <_< Edited June 2, 2005 by JT! yoyoyo
wen i started goin bigger i just got 2 the edge so that the only way 2 get off without been hurt was 2 hop off the edge. worked a treat 4 me.
Gandalf the Yellow
practice leaning back loads i suppose, make sure if you do loose the confidence you can PULL BACK not fall forwards, i think it hurts more if you fall forwards.... remember to get to the edge and lean back loads then when the front starts to drop, let go of the brake and gently give it a kick! steve
Ross W.
Just practice more on smaller things. Get comfortable with smaller things and such. Yes, lean back, it might help, plus it should make you smoother on bigger things.
