Tomm
insurance, £4.99 a month..worth it..?? ← No. Blatently not. The shops goes for the hard sell cos they get shit loads of commission for it. But really £5/month = £60 over a year. And the most it could cost if you lose your phone is about £200 to buy a new one. So £60 to protect something worth £200 is a complete rip off. Think of it in terms of car insurance, you'd never get away with charging 1/3 of the possible payout on an insurance premium.

Tomm
Haha, think about that again :-" But yeah, I get your point  £60 is too much. ← Yeah, but on car insurance, you could crash your car into a bus full of trainee lawyers or something and kill them all, causing millions in damages. Or crash your shitty fiesta into a Ferrari showroom or something, which would also cost a fair bit. £60 to lose a phone is stupid.

Royaltrials
You should get one of those free O2 sims. You get 300 free texts a month, with a £10 monthly minimum top up. Once you use up these 300 free text messages they cost 10p each. This also means you have £10 credit floating about for calls during the month. Also calls to other O2 mobiles are pretty affordable, especially in the evenings. Someone is usually giving them away on here. If you want to get a new SIM-free handset then this shop has the largest and cheapest selection. Live Telecoms Nokia 3220 - £120 Nokia 6230 - £165 Nokia 6170 - £170 Edited June 1, 2005 by Royaltrials

And yeah, Joe if you want an O2 sim, catch me on MSN

Tomm
if you get it from singlepoint o2 (phones 4u) u can ask for a tri-band handset and it will work on any network ← All d500s are tri band. Some are quad band. Only makes a difference if you are going abroad (out of europe), as all networks in Britain use the same band. If you get an O2 contract, the phone is unlocked
