Badboy
My family have had many conversations about this! We think it changes each time. The following are some of the drivers who we think put the "stig" helmet on John Clelland Tiff Needel Vicki Butler-Henderson (the music drowns out her squeeling as she squeels when she gets a car sideways) Damon Hill Jason Plato We maybe totall wrong, but there we go (Y)
RicH_87
oh my god I LOVE TOP GEAR!! (sorry had to let it out) I thought the stig was Tiff Needle as-well but would he be able to do 5th gear and be the stig at the same time? Plus he isn't THAT fast he's just really skillful. Me and my mate were talking about this and he recons it's damon hill (mearly because he looks the same in his overalls (Y) ) But when you really think about it it could be anyone, there's loads of touring car drivers that could do it and loads of ex f1/indycart drivers etc. If anyone knows for sure please post. :)

Endohopper
Mystery solved . What I'd like to see is the Top Gear team testing trials bikes , with all their usual commentary , swish camera work and production values . Imagine Jeremy Clarkson describing a Coustellier or something . Awesome .

Tomm
For those that don't read links: I’m a big fan of the show and I did the first 22 programmes and it was a laugh. We tested all sorts of things from Pagani Zondas down to Minis and the celebrity aspect of it was a lot of fun as well, but for me it was time to move on as I had a race programme to contend with as well, so I’ve been there, seen it and done it and they’ve got someone else in now – I think it’s a girl but I don’t know. Anyway there is a new Stiggy now!
Badboy
So I could be right with Vicki Butler-Henderson?!?!" Or possibly that woman who used to race WRC ages ago, cant think of her name now.
Tomm
At the beginning of The Stig's fourth series of Top Gear the original Stig (Macarthy) was "killed off" prompting the change of dress and music. His replacement is widely believed to be Ben Collins, an experienced single seater and Sportscar driver. f**k knows
011001000110010101110010
Aparently according to some tabloid newspaper it is an ex fighter pilot who was court marshalled for doing the top gun fly by on a air traffic control tower. Dann
I always thought it was Mr.Tiff Needell. On 5th gear you can see his driving skills really are impresive, and sometimes on topgear they make remarks about Mr.tiff. He was a presenter of Topgear a while ago wasn't he so it could well be him. Dann
Thats what the helmets for! lol I just read that there has been two stigs, and reading that made me remember hearing that on TG. I now know that the first stig was Mr.Perry McCarthy it was heard on eurosport apparently, so the identity of the latest and greatest is a mystery. Some people say that they change the driver often, which i find hard to believe as they use him to test new car lap times etc....so it wouldnt make much sense changing to someone to get used to the track etc.. Beacause he goes over the course with the celebs doesnt he.
