Pork Pie
Yo, Earlier this morning, I got some avid pads through the post as my others fell apart. I put them in, with the spring, and also put an FR-1 lever on instead of the SD5 i'd been running previously. Well, it's being crap, basically. It felt nice, but then after about 5 or so pulls of the lever, the blade came really close to the bar. I kept turning the outboard adjuster, which made it go back to normal. I think the problem is with the adjusters, that even when dialled in, it still wants to go back, even without being turned back, and does. I at first thought this could be the spring, so took it out. It's made no difference though :turned: Ideas would be good :S Ta, Dave
CoppellStereo
maybe you need to pull for cable through at the end of the brake caliper :turned: :S
Pork Pie
Maybe I've already done that :turned:
Tomm
You are supposed to adjust the avid with the adjuster dials on the caliper itself. Probably won't solve your problem but might do. Is the bolt that holds the cable in tight?
Floyd
Change the levers back :turned: . ricky :S
Luke Drewery
Change the levers back :turned: . ricky :S ← Yep, make sure the lever adjuster is all the way in then re adjust the brake at the caliper with the cable and pad adjusters...
