Endohopper
Sorry to hear that , but good that it's almost healed . Having been casted for so long , I'd leave it just a little longer , you could cause further injury stressing an unhealed leg . I expect the forum's Physio expert will have an opinion on this . Best not to ask / take advice on such important things as this from people who lack medical training . Hope it gets better soon so you can ride . ..johal..
i've just got my ankle out of plaster a couple of days ago..... i was tempted 2 do the same..... i missed my driving test and everything.... but at the end off the day whats 3 more weeks compared to the rest off your life? if you take it off now you could end up monged and cause permanent damage. my mother told me that and we all know mothers are always right :- sorry to hear about it though dude i know what it feels like :( hang in there though man. ScotchDave
Don't be silly mate, they put you back in plaster, there will have been a reason. Whats one week after 14?? I had a neck injury, happened 2 years ago. I'm still not recovered totally because I was stupid enough to think that trials doesn't stress your neck. motocrossmumford
hmm i spose, but its so anoying to no that i could go if they were taking it of when thet sed they would, plus im fed up of not being able to ride motocross or trials and have to stand there and watch my m8s do it. also i feel like im giving up now all i seem to do is sit in on the computer all day and sleep, and go out for a longish walk. well i think it is goin to stay on but im not sure yet. nb88
I'd leave it on :- will seem annoying but how annoying would it be if you damaged it again and had another 8 weeks in plaster or something (Y)
Trials Punk
Its really not worth it. You might aswell just leave it on that extra week. Its not going to hurt is it? Go buy a new game or something (Y) entertain you for a week. Hopefully ride bristol with you sometime when you've healed.
dave33
my brother broke his arm before and afther 6 weeks he took the plaster off in the bath himself with a knife and then sent him a £40 bill for the plaster, so it probly best to leave it on, you may be able to get a local hospital to remove it for you
motocrossmumford
dont worry its stayin on. i dont c how they can charge 40 quid for the plaster, i mean at the end of the day i dont have to have it on they just advise for it to be on. Tomm
Talk to Si lord, physio on here. Great guy knows his stuff. (Y) ← If he was a legit physio as I'm sure he is, I don't think he would ever consider being so irresponsible as to tell someone to do something that is this serious (Like take the cast off), without even seeing them! Chances are you probably can get away with it, but what if there are problems? You should go to the doctors and get it done the proper way. If you can't go to your local hospital, can you go to a different one?
Trebor
Hmm, it's not as though you won't be right there with your buddies anyway, and going in the sea, will it make or break your holiday? Didn't think so. Have fun, take it easy on your leg, it ain't woif it.

Michael Hardman
I was a bit of a mong once. Broke my ankle playing football was in a cast for 6 weeks but no that wasnt enough for me I still payed fotball by swinging on my crutches and I acidently hit the ball with my broken ankle. For me so far I think I got away with it as theres no problems 4 years on. Leave it on. Mine came off and I was back walking within a few minutes and within a week i was back playing football and ten pin bowling (i was good then)
