Matt_Tupman
Keep them in the shade :S ← got it in one ;) Red is a bugger for fading in sunlight (Y) so yeah if your bike normally sits in the sun don't put it there and the fading should slow down :-
spunkey_monkey_boy
buy silver parts, your bikes for riding not for looking pretty, thats what girls are for...
N.Wood
Move to England: Sun doesn't come here (Y) Er, theres no way to revert back to it's original red-ness, but laquering it should stop it going any further, but your best bet is to keep it in the shade for as long as possible (possibly not as easy as it sounds living in Israel..) JonPace
my mates 2yr old hope hubs have done the same and have gone really pink. But my 1.5yr old front hope xc started off a darker red and stayed that way, maybe they have changed the anodising process a bit since?! Fishwog
Strange, I always hear about this, yet I have red pedals, headset, hubs, etc. and I have never had any fading problems with any of them (Y)
Peterjordan
Strange, I always hear about this, yet I have red pedals, headset, hubs, etc. and I have never had any fading problems with any of them (Y) ← when you get them, laquer or clear nail polish works, you may need to paint more on every month or so, cos thatll fade. but its better than your parts fading!
