MrMonkey
Good idea. Most definetely, the evidence for the banning and the motives behind outweight the fact someone wants to look like a tit.
Danny
In what context? A lot of bars are banning them which in my opinion is fair enough.
Siders77
I think it's really bloody stupid! Next they'll be banning hats and sunglasses (N) Stupid, stupid people (N)

Jimbo Limbo (Trials Chimp)
Bars, Clubs, Shopping centres can do whatever they like in my opinion. Its not really fair that everyone in a hoody is automatically suspected of being shady but large groups of youngsters hanging round wearing their hoods up does look super dodgy. There is no reason to have your hood up if its not raining anyway  As for a government ban on them (if it is actually being proposed by anyone?) it would just be a waste of time, its not takling any of the actual issues of why there is Anti-social Behaviour™ and it would be impossible to enforce anyway. MrMonkey
The police need more power to beat. Policeman 1: "You take your hood down" Chav: "No man make innit" Policeman 2: "Is it your turn on mine?" Policeman 1: "Can't remember.... double team??" Policeman 2: "Sure" *TWAT* Police for the win. <scruff>
now what they should do is ban burrbury, aquascrotum (how ever you spell them) and things alike. simple equation for you... burrbury/aquascrotum etc = chav - an education + 3 or 4 mates so now hes turned into muhammad,i'm,hard,as,fook, brucelee = a load of boys + 1 or 2 sharons to show off to = (imo) a load of trouble waiting to happen. the thing is everyone well the majority of people put teenagers under the same roof so they think were all trouble makers. chavs, goths, skaters, nuns, islamic people all wear hoods, just trying to get my point across. this winds me up so much i'm going to the 'angry post', but then again bed sounds good. scruff
MrMonkey
nuns, islamic people all wear hoods ← And the Klu Klux Klan, STOP THE PERSECUTION. I also thought nuns weren't allowed to own material goods so why would they be in a shopping centre.
Matt_Tupman
I think this is typical labour skirting around the real problem and ignoring it  I think it's stupid and will not acheive anything
Impacted.
aquascrotum ← ^^ I think banning hoodies is a gay idea, not everyone that wears a hoodie is a chav, but to be honest I don't care because I don't wear hoodies. Why are they banning them actually? It can't be because they class poeple with hoodies as chavs, can it?
Has anyone seen my shoe?
Its not laboutr who started it. It was black/bluewater (dunno which one it is)! I dont care to be honest! Thanks, Callum
crazy_gap girl
O M G ! now its getting where you cant wear what you want.. thats perthetic (N) i love my huddies... What is this world coming to (N)
TomN
They shouldn't ban hoodies, I say if someone is wearing their hood up you ask them to take it down if not, then kick them out. Caps are on the ban aswell isn't it?
Extreme_biker0
I also thought nuns weren't allowed to own material goods so why would they be in a shopping centre. Probably just felt like faggin it and hangin round. (N) It's like some 12 year old chavs round here who burnt a farm down. The farmers got to claim off insurance now and a lot of his posessions are up in smoke. The kids got away, he's gonna have lessons on why arsen is bad. Duh. You might say well why dont you take him with his parents to the farm and show him what a mess it is, how the farmer has lost so much because of him, etc. But do you really think he would care? Would he f**k. He'd probably laugh. At the end of the day there's a lot of people nowadays with nothing but fresh air between their ears. And a lot of them DON'T wear hoodies. The ban is pointless. In my experience security guards are good at telling a group of skaters wearing hoodies not stealing from a chav wearing a hoodie that is. The ban is an idea of a politicien who know's shit all about the state of this country. (N)
RicH_87
don't know about you guys but i tend to wear a t-shirt in summer. plus, how many tits actually wear a hood up inside (apart from the people they are obviosuly trying to stop). Dan6061
They should just ban Chavs. Sorted.
TheChai
i think its a good idea to have people not have their hoobs up.. wearing hoodies is fine but just not have the hoods up when theres no need too
Sam Nichols
Let's get one thing straight... They aren't banning hoodies! This is about banning hoodies in places such as banks, pubs, clubs and shops - the areas where these items of clothing are used to intimidate the public and disguise themselves against being identified. Much the same as you can't walk into a bank or into a petrol station wearing a helmet. Basically there isn't one valid and reasonable argument you can give in favour of these items of clothing not being in places where they are regularly used as (effectively) a weapon against us, the public. So quite whining and let the inevitable take its course.
Has anyone seen my shoe?
They should just ban Chavs. Sorted. ← Then goths, townies and any other group you want to put people in. Discrimination. Like if trials riders were banned from asda or something even if I didnt go there id still complain. I dont like chavs as much as the next guy but whos choice is it to pick who are chavs and who are not? Thanks, Callum
Extreme_biker0
So quite whining and let the inevitable take its course. Are you telling me to be quiet or quit? Ban makeup! It can be used to conceal your identity. And all hats. All shoes can be used as a weapon. Don't be idiots people, let the inevitable take its coarse. I think you shouldn't be allowed to enter a shopping centre with any clothes on so that you cannot steal anything. Or you would have to be very determined to do THAT anyway. I'm not bothered about them banning hoodies and god knows what else. Its only in shops etc anyway so you can understand why they have done it.
