Onza-Ash
i got a new guitar pedal...and i wanna power it with a mains adaptor... the pedal says Power Requirements 9VAC 1200mA minimum my powersuppy says... 300ma3.6VAmax and it has a choice of voltage settings...9v being one of them. i wanna know...will my adaptor work? and what polarity will it need to be? thanks so much.. Danny
And what was the answer im guessing no? If it only does 300mA at 3.6v it prob wont do 1200mA at 12v
Onza-Ash
ah..the answer was..yeah it wont do above 300mA the 3.6 mean... 12v x 0.3 or something..making 3.6...heers the post "That's the maximum power (watts) you can draw. Power = amps x volts At your maximum voltage setting (12V), and maximum current (300mA, or 0.3A) then the power drawn is 12 x 0.3 = 3.6 VA (watts) ie. No matter what voltage you are using, do not draw more than 300mA AND do not draw more than 3.6 watts"
