TheCircus
It will be proper heavy, just set up your brake well.
Janson
it will not work in the wet. seriously, try splashing a bit of water on the rim of a bmxer. he'll kill you, 'cos you ruined his brake completely. Grind > *
F-Stop Junkie
Chrome rims - as a rule - give good braking in the dry, but are terrible in the wet. Plus, as soon as you put a grind or tar on the rim, then you'll ruin the effect you were after. So, not good.
Josephine
I know Steve-A is more a street rider than pure trials, but his chrome rim works fantastically well with Koolstops...in the dry, seriously the best brake for trials possible, the ideal etc etc. Forget it in the wet, though, he says it speeds him up :P Joe
Steve-A
I'm really impressed with my chrome rim. Works good in dry, great in damp. If itsa raining lightly as long as i drag it every now and then it wors great just like in damp. If its raining heavilly or lots of puddles, its useless, might aswell ride deathgrip, or just do frontwheel moves only. For me iots a great brake that works well and look bling. For someone else it might not be as suitable depejnding on what you like to ride. i.e. get mud on it and you would kill surface.
