Your missing my point. I'm not talking about how appealing the art is to an audience.

Some artists are more skilled than others, thats just a fact, if you like their work or not.

Anything could be art, tate modern is proof of that.

i wouldnt mind a digital SLR next, great pictures, which can be seen straight away. i have my sony cyber shot 150 but it dont have shutter speed settings etc/changeable lenses.

my SLR collection is coming on with a zenit, a praktica, and a new canon eos300v which is sweet, i also have an old german camera worth quite a bit.

but yeah rob, thats problem with film slr's, getting the printed, much better to do it yourself!!!!

Definitely. Except colour printing can take ages to get the colour balance right.

It's also a pain in the ass when people just randomly walk into the dark room, f**king up a whole set of prints... when your half way through.

Something that's happened to me several times... :-

Get a lock on the door?  :)

lol, yeah, I thought about just taking a screw driver and just putting a lock on there, but i think they'd get all arsed about fire regulations etc (at collage)... :-

I don't use it anymore anyhoo, so not an issue anymore ;)

yeah thats one of the most damn right annoying things (hasnt happened to me - yet) but my friend was developing his negatives and the teacher walked in haha.......he offered during dinner time to take him to the peak district to get more shots haha.

but yeah, ive never done colour printing, just black and white for the past 2-3 years which has been fun.

there was a great darkroom in sheffield, the site gallery, and the darkroom was like you open door and you have to go round a corner to get into the main area.....so the red light is always on, and people can come in and out whenever they please and it wont ruin other peoples shots. they had some beautiful equipment too.

shame they closed down at christmas because of funding it. :-

Thought I'd ressurect this thread with a poorly photographed drawing of mine . Damn , I want a scanner !

To be honest mate, I think the woman in the middle of that hurts the picture. All the detailed work is awesome but the woman doesn't belong.

Still, much better than I could ever do so respect for being so good

Stop with this "Thanks, Callum" stuff, and i'll consider it. I thought the signature addition that happened to appear would of given you a hint.

Seriously though, yeah, use them if you want.

Si, that first one of the mountains etc, what software did you use for it? its superb.

Bryce, but when i used it, i used Bryce 5, which was owned by Corel. Looking at the screenshots, it looks the same.

Its actually super easy to use, and those renders didn't take long to make at all.
