picki
are you a chav ? ← would you like a punch? :P no i am not a chav! I'm also bored, so let me tell you a tale about the origin of the word bling. Rolls Royce make jet engines that run at rather high temperatures. These have turbines in them that have to withstand the high temperatures. One part of the turbine is manufactured from advanced fibre reinforced composites and other crazy materials. This part is known as a blade turbine ring, which was shortened by engineers to bling. So all those rappers out there with their bling are using a term coined by the coolest of cats, engineers. How about that... ← that is one of THE best thins i have read all night (Y)
onzamad
try some of these: demon tweeks-dustcaps they look quite good, but at 11 quid inc vat i dont think so lol. :( Edited May 20, 2005 by onzamad
Tomm
mink you are wrong :( "Bling Bling" is a 1999 hit hip-hop song by The B.G., featuring his Cash Money Records labelmates Juvenile, Lil' Wayne, Turk, Baby, and Mannie Fresh. The song, and its many follow-ups from the label, popularized a hip hop slang term which refers to expensive jewelry and other accoutrements. The term is thought to be derived from the onomatopoeia of a visual effect used to denote light glistening off metal or jewels. Actually I believe you really. But other people are stupid. I wonder where Baby G. heard about the word? Maybe he's a closet engineer... The bling or ‘bladed ring’ eliminates the bore of the conventional disk by using a fibre reinforced ring to carry the hoop stresses. So there you have it. They replaced blisks
Mr Motivator
I lost mine ages ago. Dont really need them though, I mean if the seal is good enough not to let air out then its not really going to let any dust in. Meh, chavs often ask me why I havnt got any though lol. Rob_P
To be honest who gives a sh*t! There only dust caps, not like they do anything important is it! There probably the least important thing on your bike and you wont miss them! When I saw the topic name on the front page I was just like, you cant really be serious! This is the sorta thing you'd find in new members for gods sakes! Rob :(

Si-man
I don't have any dust caps.... why bother? ← I do on the back because when I let the back tyre down to get the wheel out the valve always trys to hide inside the tyre so i have to take the tyre off to get at it (Y) And all these people saying "plastic ones are less weight" WTF???? Gandalf the Yellow
if you had those free MBUK ones then do what i do, stop them flashing and rip those cheap batteries and bulbs out.... leave the metal casing cap on :D i have a blue giant and it matched quite nicely, i only put it on becuse i thought they'd match and they're free anyway so i don't give a sh*t if they get bumped by chavs!
