biketrialler
Hey guys Ive got an English exam tomorrow, English Language EA2W 'using language' paper. Just wondering exactly what is in this paper? Its a re take from last year so im not sure exactly what it covers. Been wrapped up in my photgraphy project so much recently I forgot all about it ^_^ Any basic outline of whats in it would be awesome. Thanks Ben
Sam Nichols
If it's a language paper then basically you we will be asked to produce a piece of writing ranging as wide as anything from a letter, newspaper/magazine article, short story to a leaflet. Basically though, with most of them you will have to think of a subject you feel strongly about and od one of these three... Write to persuade. Write to argue. Write to explain. Then you have to use the correct type of lexis/syntax and other techniques to suit the type of subject and what you are trying to achieve (out of the three above). Is this A-Level or GCSE by the way? biketrialler
Its an AS level - retake. Im just about to finish my a2 year and have all my exams bundled into the next few weeks ^_^ I managed to find a set of past papers online earlier for all of the english as/a2 papers... might be worth a read if anyone else wants them! http://www.aqa.org.uk/qual/gceasa/engLaA_assess.html Thanks for the description, seems I just need to revise the word class stuff as the first section is a text analysis. Hopefully the writing stage goes well :P Thanks, Ben
