Phatmike
Hey guys. I've got some Ritchly WCS grips to try out, which so far look very nice. But i've not run "normal" (non - lockon) grips for nearly 2 years! I was just wondering if people could give me the best way for non-slip fitness. (Y) I've heard water, gt85, hairspray, paint etc. What'll work best for foam grips? Thanks very much. Mike. James_Porter
gt-85 mike. or sometimes (if they have an end cap bit of rubber) you can just push them on and there is like a "layer" of air which gets trapped between the bar and grip and they just slide on. UrbanLegend
Best thing I've found for WCS' is clear paint laquer. Spray on bar and inside grips, slide on, position how you want... Dry (and rideable) within 5 minutes.
RobinJI
I find the best thing to do is to spit down them and slide them on, then when there dry they don't seem to move much. Make sure you have bar plugs that cover the end of the grip not just the whole in the bar, or water will get in the end.

forteh
I always use puncture repair glue, bodge loads down the grip before you slide it on, wipe of the excess and leave to dry for an hour or so before riding. Holds the grips really well and they dont fall off when they get wet ^_^ Can be a bitch to get the grips off though, a slim allen key or screwdriver downt he insie of the grip can usually free it up
Trials Tom
Hairspray, works a treat and you don't have to buy anything, just nab it off your mum/sister.

Mike. ← My grips never slip, and i just use hairspray to slide them on, leave them to dry overnight and they never move around on the bar. The problem only comes when you dont let the hairspray dry/evaporate before you ride...
Dan6061
WD40 ^_^ or Monty brake spray.. damn hard to get them off after using that though...
STEVE-0
If none of them work, there is always....Araldite. (my grips are going to be a bitch to get off) You could buy a pump thing like Chris Doney's dad has in his van. He kind of pumps them on, makes a farty noise but they are solid start away. Lucky git! Remeber to make a few comments after putting them on, i may get some. Steve
Si-man
I just breathe down the grip and slide them on (makes inside of grips warm and damp ^_^") Then put abit of black tape around the non- barend part to stop water getting in, works a treat
