Picture messageing works by a protocal that runs over another protocal called GPRS that runs on top of the GSM network that runs parallell to the phone network in this country. Your confusion can be understood.

If you have tried to get the settings off here and it didn't work, then you need to find and enter the settings manually, although I do wonder why they do not work from this site.

But to give you the right settings you need to say weather you are on pay as you go or contract?

Oh my

you apear to know what you talking about, ill listen to you......

im on pay as you go, that thing where you top up 10er a month n get shit free.

i guess i do O2 Active (includes GPRS and Media Messaging)

O2 Active, allows you instant access to a variety of ringtones, games, and up to date news, sport and entertainment.

that one, ill try it now,

below my signal its got that g in a box, that means the gprs is on dont it ?

thanks mate

On nokias i believe the G means that it is trying to establish a GPRS connection. When the G is in a square it means it is connected.

Yes you need the active settings, for pay as you go.

Did you get it sorted then?

By the way here are the settings i used to use when i used to have an o2 'genie' sim card (the one with 300 free texts):

Access Point: wap.o2.co.uk

Username: geniewap

Password: password

IP address: 193.113.200.195

Mmsc Address: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002

Ok, I can recieve pictures, yet I can't send them

I've had this problem on both of my phones, each with a different number, and I'm 100% I'm doing everything right, I have the MMS settings onto my phone too. I get the G in a little square, and the spinning Envelope. Yet it still fails?

Any hints from you Phone Shop workers?
