MR.MONTY
Here's a story.... it has to be told! The other week i was riding along and i stoped and i thought i'd cracked my giant. Watson was like thats total crap if you have... because that must be a crap frame, like 10 months old. And now your's has cracked after how many? 3-4? Thats crap man! Had to be told!
DrEvil270183
"So Called". Not being funny, but how many pitbull's have been sold, and how many have cracked, let alone snapped. As far as i know, yours two are the only ones. That's just the '05 ones, because i also believe not one 04 has gone. I think tunni twisted his in the end, but not one has cracked or snapped, but feel free to put me right if im wrong. Pictures would help though. ← Rossi snapped his 04 pitbull, he didnt know about it but he sold it an guy who got it found a crack :S but the guy is a master at finding cracks lol and rossi is a fat lad too
rich4130
Don't suppose you do a lot of blunting (coming backwards off stuff) with the brake on? ← Is that aframe killer? I've never thought about that, I'm always doing that, whenever I don't quite make a backwheel I hop backwards, shit, i must stop.

picki
I can see the posts now, dont get a pitbull there crap, they crack suks dont it.... yet 90% of mod riders probly own a monty....and how many of them go bang? I still think the pitbulls one of the strongest frames out there....for a decent price too. My mates battered his, most of you have seen what tuni does, and he aint always smooth, this rossi dude seems another bike masher.... Yeah it might be a shit batch of frames, dont go bitching about them before you know facts  god...and i dont even have one.... I think a polls in order.... ← does it matter! point is! people still buy frames which would be prone to crack! there has been 2 that have cracked! big deal get it sorted or buy a new frame all this does is make people go! Watson©
Mines is in the exact same place Paul... It sucks I wish mine never cracked  I'll try and get pics, never got my mates came todayEdit: Just incase people are thinking I'm one of them people that are going to say, " Pitbull's are shit man don't get one!!!" since mines as cracked then you are very mistaken as I still think Pitbulls are awesome and if and when I get my replacement I'm just going to ride that instead of selling it to buy another frame. Just thought I would clear that with everyone :S Watson Edited May 16, 2005 by Biker_Watson
Pauly
yeh i think the frames are awsome its just the brake mounts are not well thought over i spoke to neil and hes told deng (the man who owns echo/zoo) and hopefully there is going to be some change in the way they get welded on but who knows , the thing is with me once a frame dies i cant trust it againm i will be to paranoid all the time so i have decided to try a toxsin and have some good options open Cheers Pauly
colly
who was the lad on here who said that an engineer looked at his and said they would be a possible weak spot,......he was right........... :S" dont know if it was the brake mounts though
Tartridge
Dan Hardman... it was a different point on the frame... so no, he wasn't really that right! Plus, this is a manufacturing defect, not a design defect - and hence, should be replaced on warranty.

I was goin to do the same, get another frame and sell the replacement Pitbull but then I was like, naw I'll just keep it as it rides soooo good :S who was the lad on here who said that an engineer looked at his and said they would be a possible weak spot,......he was right........... :-" dont know if it was the brake mounts though :turned: ← No... He was talking about the end part of the CNC'ed sideplate just underneath the brake mounts, so he was wrong as it was a completely different place :) And as Tarty said its a manufactured defect not a design defect :P Watson
