Here's a few pics of the new vinco, what do you think?

Ive noticed the extra gussets on on the bottom of the downtube, next to BB, and also the curve on the downtube, like the monty idea ( shock absorbing downtube). Also the mini koxx sign inbetween the top and downtube, looks very swish :) (Y)

Regards Dan B)

Edit, Just noticed there isnt a seatube, but I think they are using that koxx logo to act like a seat tube sort of thing.

cos it got copied that many times.hahaha.

its still one of the nicest looking from my point of view (monocoque tubing :) (Y) )

i think they have just made it better phil, seen weaknesses and made it better.

We could all say the same about Echo like 2-3years ago when they did the ES range, i think everyone broke, so they made them better.

if you look through the koxx range i think only the Caisso hasnt been attempted copied, the XTP has been literally copied by the new HI-FI from the headtube point of view (obviosly geo changes) the levelboss has been copied a million n one times over (so that gets a new look too and i have to say most people may not like the new one but i think its awesum its a change!) vinco has been copied geo wise by too many people (companies by that i mean)

Waynio..................................

EDIT: Am biased towards the monocoque tubing as our best selling brand @ work is the Marin Full sus bikes and there so nice. purely because there monocoque and anodised frames.

I believe its actually two square tubes with a plate welded over them, and then the welds ground off. You can see the weld if you look between the tubes :)

Well, thats how the old version is anyway :P

am waiting for a trials frame to be SEAM welded like the marin full sus frames probably not too strong on the down tube unless they made the tubing thicker but sure would have the nicest looking about it.

Waynio.........................

wish i could weld and id have hours of fun messing around with making bike frames. cutting and shutting.

Is that sorta thing similar to the Planet-X Armourdillo style welding? Like on the downtube, they've got those chuffing great welds that seem to go to nowhere... or is that that weird "hydroforming" (if that's what it is?) biz?

the bottom bracket isn't as high no more.. i think its only plus 30 or somewhere around that mark

Is this right?? My mate has ordered a vinco and it should arrive this week and its suposed to be a new shape( so guessing its this) he bought it because of the high bb rise, he ll be gutted if its not as high due to it not being that disimilar to his xtp. Has anyone got a full size picture of this bike??

that was a hydro form tube that they thort lets run a weld down it kinda thing. lol.

Seam welded stuff mark is really swoosh!!!! its like 2 supa dupa lite tubes (on the marin full sus anyway) welded together. so both pieces are more or less identical.

Price > What they're worth.

£595.

EDIT: Shit yeah, the new ones - sorry. I'd guess they'd be around that though; the changes aren't going to make it any cheaper I'd have thought, but they'd probably not want to raise it too much...

The hose doesn't go *really* internally though. There's a gap there between the pair of tubes, and it goes through a small hole in the gusset into that gap, so there's no hole in the frame itself for it to come out of, hence no stress riser, hence no cracking (theoretically).

From the looks of it does the brake have to be bled into this hosing channel thing on/in the frame? Its a confusing yet original design B) Well done Koxx I say, apart from the fact that they didnt get it right first time :P

James
