hititfaster
Basically, I know where there is an Apple G3 ibook going seriously cheap, but the screen on it is fooked. I looked on a couple of sites for replacements, but they come in at about $200 (which is a bit over £100 I'm guessing). Anybody that's in the know, do you think it's worth me going for this laptop and fixing it (at <£200 it would still be cheap I think) or should I steer clear? Are they hard to replace? Any thoughts (apart from 'macs are shit, get a windows laptop' ones) welcome (Y)

Siders77
Hehe, nah I suppose not :) Ummmm, If the IBook is going really cheap then I think it would be a good deal if it's all fixed up properly Etc... (Y)
biketrialler
This is the one on ebay yes? Anyway - you'd be looking at finding an ibook screen on ebay too! Search google and youll probably find a manual of how to change the screen over. Shouldnt be a crazy difficult job.
