Punkrider
Hi there, Would someone be able measure their XTR booster and see how many MM it is from the 's' to the 'o' in Shimano (Y) A diagram to explain: Cheers Adam
Matt_Tupman
um it seems to be exactly 10cm B) thats mesured to the center on the letters :) making one 4 bolt are you?? rich4130
I have one that the bottom tabs are half snapped off... if that would be any use for making a 4 bolt if you don't fancy dicking about with a nice one.
Bucky
They defiantly do fit. Danny smith has one on his Woodstock. And i'm sure tart had one drilled for 4 bolt at some point. Everyone went through a stage and they were being sold on Ebay for ridiculous money like £60. Edited May 15, 2005 by Bucky
Martin t
They are awesome though, beats all boosters

TrialsMan
Looks well nice. (Y) . You must have a great back break now. That looks nice on that bike too. Smithy
haydon_peter
Ebay's your only way to get them nowadays. Yes it will fit a mod. ← Depends on the Mod bike (Y)" It would have fitted on my Megamo but only with something stupid like 1-2mm of tyre clearance (Width ways) which just wasnt going to be practicle... It might fit other mods but I can see tyre clearance being a problem on most mods!!!

It might fit other mods but I can see tyre clearance being a problem on most!!! Strange, it seemed to fit on my old Megamo fine (Y) Looks good, I think I'll be doing that to one of mine soon. Did you have to use any specific drill end to get it to drill nicely?
Punkrider
To drill the booster i just used metal drill bits, i started at 1mm and went up to 6mm :P All went really well, makes so much difference to the brake feel and power (Y) Adam Edited May 19, 2005 by Punkrider
Prawny Baby
looking good (Y) has anyone else noticed tehy have a generally quieter brake sinse fitting an xtr booster? my brakes always used to be so loud, but these days im lucky if i get the tiniest squeak! we all know the noise is down to vibration, so im guessing the xtr stops so much that brakes go quiet.... anyone else noticed? Bigman
looking good :( has anyone else noticed tehy have a generally quieter brake sinse fitting an xtr booster? my brakes always used to be so loud, but these days im lucky if i get the tiniest squeak! we all know the noise is down to vibration, so im guessing the xtr stops so much that brakes go quiet.... anyone else noticed? ← Mine was exactly the same Nick, when i had my BT i never had a noisy brake, and i was running an XTR booster all of the time. Also, good job on the drilling for the evo mounts, i did this on my BT and it worked a treat, almost as easy as a 4 bolt frame. Adam
Dr. Nick Riviera
can they be used as 4-bolt on 4 bolt mounts? these seem to be quite good and if so i'll have a looksie on ebay
