Matt_Tupman
:"> Yes well I was quite impressed that I lasted this long till I got pulled (passed in January) But when I say those blue lights I shat it :P and really thought I was done for but the coppers were really nice and just run me through the whole system knowing this was the first time I had been pulled and it was actually ok :S My view on coppers has changed big time and now I see that they are ok and there not just out there to kick us of are bike  Anyone else been an irresponsible driver "

tank_rider
I got pulled over in Bracknal, I was trying to find the cinema (but didnt know where it was so was probably driving a bit erratically) and had 4 people in the car, saw cops pull out behind me, but was doing nothing wrong so didn't worry. The got out onto a main road and got the ol' blue light treatment, so pulled over. They were just checking why a car registered to a 50 year old in north london was in Bracknal. Gave them my name and address and that was it, didn't even have to show them my license :S, they then gave me an escort to the cinema which was nice of them :P, although on the way we passed the dodgiest looking burger van which was in the middle of an old run down industrial estate yet seemed to be doing a roaring business (would you like some drugs with your kebab?). But yeah, they were nothing but nice to me, so i'm not too bothered. I was certainly suprised it had taken me 3 years since passing my test before i first got pulled over. Tomm
Anyway I got away with it, although Im now banned from london ← What did you do Xdream? Matt_Tupman
What did you do Xdream? Now what did I do " Umm it could have been me and my mate driving very close together :S or it could have been that we were proberly speeding :P it could have even been that my car looks so nicked that it just atracts police :P or it could have been the fact that we actually overtook the police car  opps :"> thats why I thought I was so fooked though but all I got was a producer  But I will definatly drive in a more sensible manor from now on  I can't afford to lose my licence

I was doing 60mph in a 30, opps :"> They were super nice though and just gave me a warning cus the copper was a bikr rider as well and knows how hard it will to get insurance on a 600cc bike with 3 points! Bigman
HAHA serves u right Matt :S (touching the biggest lump of wood near) i have been lucky, in the 3-4 years i have been driving, with various different vehicles, tractors, mopeds and my car, i have only been pulled once, and that was because it was midnight and i had a rear light gone on my moped. I am not the best of drivers, i always speed :"> and drive a little eratic but i have never been pulled over whilst in my car, and i have been driving almost 2 years, so i see myself lucky, in a way lol. fairy elephants
I passed in january, and have not been pulled yet, although i do drive a little eratically, so when i do get pulled i expect more than just a warning... I no this, yet still drive the same, so its my own fault... I wont go crying to mummy when i get points etc... i'll just accept it.. :S

Rossi
I've been pulled twice since Dec 04 when I passed. First reason was a vehicle check... car was a Fiat Panda and it was basically on its ass! I had 5 people in an old banger, which was nearly scrapin on the floor haha. Tyres got checked for wear, and bodywork etc. The 2nd time was cos I had a brake light out and I didnt notice it :P was in front of a cop too. I saw the blue lights appear in my mirror and I shat my knickers. Had to show my documents at local police station within 7 says. All in all, I've been a good boy upto yet (compared to other naughty people I know) :S Rossi.
Bonney@X-Street
coppers are so annoying, i got busted for my neons and i thought they were gonna kill me or summin, proper having a go at me. i sed they should concentrate on people bein beaten up in town rather than some fancy blue lights! didn't like that too much and gave me a 7 day wonder job! Tomm
"Shouldn't you catch some real criminals?" Good one :S I really want to get pulled for something and wind down the window and say "Is there a problem, officer?" in a really smug way. Badboy
I hate "most" traffic police. Got followed once coming home from the Cheddar Challenge. Was driving my mums car, an I had Steve Thompson in the passenger seat. I saw them in the rear view mirror an just carried on driving normally (i wasnt speeding or anything like that) They followed me into the services an as I parked they pulled across behind. Then they proceeded to ask me loads of questions about where i had been, where i was going, whos car it was etc etc. I told them, they said "ok" an drove off. no sorry or anything! (Y) next: I came out of the pub one night with my mate, an got pulled over outside his house! (they thought i'd been drinking) the copper asked me where i had been an how much i had drunk. so i told him the pub an about 7 pints of diet coke! an he still breathalised me as if he was gonna find somethin! :P one more: I dropped a friend home after a nite out (again i hadnt drunk anythin but coke) leaving his house a copper pulled me over for a "routine check" they couldnt find anything wrong with me or my car, yet he still gave me a 7day wonder to produce my documents at the station! ^_^ Firstly he told me i should carry them on me at all times, then just before he gave me the ticket he said that you should never carry them incase they get lost or stolen1 :S make ur dam mind up pc plod rant over :P

matthewholdsworth
apparently, but please dont quote me on this, but some bloke i work with is into all the cruise malarky and so thinks he knows the all the traffic laws. anyway, he says if u get issued with a producer thingy get straight to the police station before they have chance to hand in their own report, this allegedly, causes them all kinds paperwork problems dont know if this is actually true as ive never been pulled, but if some one gets the chance to test it out let me know (Y)

Tomm
A friend of mine crashed his car into a tree in some woods (by the side of the road). Car was a write-off, so he just went home and came back the next day with the tow-truck to take the car away. No more damage to the tree than a bit of missing bark... Anyway, a couple of weeks later, he gets a note through the door. A court summons for 1. Failing to report an accident 2. Leaving the scene of an accident 3. Criminal Damage (The Farmer who owned the tree was sueing for damages to the tree (Y) ) Stupid red tape everywhere in this country. But at least he got away with it. Farmer dropped charges for some reason.
Stephen Morris
I really want to get pulled for something and wind down the window and say "Is there a problem, officer?" in a really smug way. Although when you see the blue lights you're hardly in the mood for jokes (Y) ← Me and my mum once broke down in the middle of the M25/M40 junction, actually on the chevrons. The police came along after 5 minutes, and I wound down the window and said "Is there a problem constable?" I've been driving for over a year, I've had a bit of a bump, but I've never had any issues with the law.
tank_rider
I didn't even realise you were meant to report an accident (Y) I've had a couple but not done anything :P Nothing come of it though so no problems.
